Remarks

This is a very good college. I have a great memory and it really developed me into a new me. I missed the days that I spent here, and everyday goes by that I thought, "I should've done that". It a wonderful college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As this campus is for social workers mainly, students are trained for that purpose.Students learnt through experiences by fieldwork, field visit which we called experiential learning which the students experienced not only in theory but practically. Social workers need to deal with the grassroots level, which is the main theme for this campus.Students are taught by the lecturers/professors through slides and presentations, given assignments, book reviews, article reviews or summary.TISS is connected with many reputed companies and organisations. So, there's a campus recruitment on the last semester of Post Graduate. The placement here is good

Placement Experience

4.5

Tata Trust, NGOs, HFC, and many more.Recruitment application is applied by the last semester of Post graduate. Students are mainly trained for this recruitment on their last semester. The list of the recruiters/placement are listed out and the students applied for them. The company came and do the interview. The recruited whomever they feel fit or have the potential in building their company/organization succeed.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The program fee is about ?80,000 per semester. So, in one year, the course fee is around ?1,50,000.Fees can be paid through cash, cheque and online transfer. There's no need to pay extra to secure the admission. You just have to admit during the allotted time. If not, wait listed candidates will be taken in place of you. The college give us a good and transparent the fee-breakdown

Fees and Financial Aid

For a ST/SC/OBC students, there is an exemption of fees. The ST students are free from paying the fees as they are paid by the central government. We pay around 5,000 for 1 year. The same goes for SC/OBC students. But the new government, Modi government changed this system. Now, everybody has to pay full fees. But Financial Assistance can be applied like the general students.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratios is around 1:1 of boys and girls. People from all over the country come together, from Kerela to Jammu and Kashmir, and from North East India to Gujarat. Extracurricular activities are done always. Dancing, football, cricket, debates, discussion, and skip a meal for the needy person. There's a jam session once in a semester. In that night, it is a party and we dance together. There's no discrimination based on race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation in this campus. Everybody is treated equally by each other.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are separated hostels for boys and girls. There are around 100 rooms. The above fees that I mentioned include the hostel fees and mess fee. No day schooling from home is possible as the campus is located outside the city or town. The nearest town Tuljapur is around 6km from the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumnus are connected each other through social media. Plus, there's a place for the alumnus in the main website www.tiss.edu

Admission

Admission is secured by first giving an entrance. The date of filling up entrance form takes place around February and the entrance exam usually takes place on the first week of May.

Faculty

4

There are around 30 lectures and 20 non teaching faculty. The average age will be around 30-60. Most of them hold Doctorate degree on their expertise and some are well known professors. They could easily explained their topic with a simple words and simplified it. They used visual explanation which is very supportive for the students. Yes, some even draft the schemes for the national level and state level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is neither difficult nor easy. It is a good curriculum for even an average student. The teacher mostly used the traditional teaching method. It needs to be improved. The exam's difficulty level is not so high again good for average students

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.
