Remarks

The college is decent in general. It has declined in academics over the years cause of the faculty leaving and internal politics leading to children suffering. The management is also very stern and doesn't help always.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum was good. Since its a deemed university its not restricted to the old syllabus of the Mumbai University. Its tweaked according to current trends. Very technology and future design driven. First hand experience of the field as most faculty are practicing Architects.

Placement Experience

1.5

College does not provide placements as such. The placement cell is still in its pilot stage and is for securing compulsory internships as a part of the course. The clege helps in applying to firms and keeping in touch with them regarding periodic updates.

College Events

4

It's a relatively small college with 300 students so it's very close knit. We have an annual cultural festival called freescapw. Entire college comes together and has fun. Games, activities and workshops are organised. Its a fun filled event. There is also an annual barbeque.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is on the higher side. Its 400000 INR a year on an average. It includes most of the expenses. Fees is to be paid by online transfers or by depositing a cheque. No additional fees as such for admission. The fees structure is pretty transparent except a few things maybe.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesnt not provide any scholarship or education loan. This is sad considering its a huge institution. Scholarship should be provided for the less fortunate

Campus Life

4.5

The ratio of male to female is 1:2. The college is really fun cause the course is such. There are many social events. Boys and girls take part together. Many group activities happen with mixed groups. One third of students are from cities outside Mumbai so its a different experience.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a strong alumni network going back 10 years. They are very approachable and helping. Many of them come for guest lectures to share their work and experiences.

Admission

Have to give NATA entrance. 12 scores also matter. Science is compulsory. Mathematics and English are compulsory subjects to be taken in 12th. Well reputed college and institution. Applied with my scores. The college removes a merit list for admission.

Faculty

3

Faculty is pretty decent. They have a lot of experience and highly trained professionals. They have industry knowledge as well as academic knowledge. Around 25 full time faculty and 50 visiting faculty. They all have an Architecture professional degree. Or a design degree.

The surroundings of the college give out a peaceful vibe, its a vast campus. It is located far from the city, from its pollution, one negative point about this is the commute from city to the college is very long and tiring.

There is nothing negative about my college that I have noticed in the past few years. In the time that I have studied my course in the college I have never found anything odd about the environment. The environment is mostly peaceful and the students are very good in nature.

I got this course at SEA only thorough merit. I wrote NATA, JEE is also fine or any authorized entrance exam for architecture for that matter. The counselling process happens under the council of architecture and the candidate should have qualified all the criteria under them.

Securing a decent non zero positive NATA score is the first and foremost essential thing to do while apply for this college, I secured 65% in my boards, we had to apply online and pay the fees, they will announce the date for admission/counselling later through a call letter.

The college is great but on the flip side of the coin, there is a lot of politics and partiality with respect to marking. Attendance, hard work, punctuality, consistence is not taken into consideration and is based just on the “appearance of the project”
