Remarks

Good was it's infrastructure, it's management, number of courses available. It's faculty etc. Only bad things about the college was it's political background. During college election college turns to be battle ground.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yes, as the course name suggest marketing management it was like a MBA course which helped me to understand market as I was always interested in doing marketing job. It was a bechalor degree course and its study material was for day to day product usage, product packaging, product label, product advertisement. After studying I understand that all the information given on any products cover are useful and it gives very important information.

Placement Experience

1

I am sorry but during our time there was no college placement. After passing the exam we had to search for the job. Considering my qualifications I was selected in the first time of interview that to in the top MNC.

College Events

4

We had freshers party, farewell party, college foundation day, Founders memorial day. Annual sports and Annual cultural meet etc. We had our own memorial hall where all the program were celebrated. We also had new year party also with DJ night. Along with all the above programs we also celebrated Saraswati Puja which is worshipped as God of Education

Fee Structure And Facilities

Marketing management was self sponsored course. Our college never accepted any payment in form of cash. All the fees were made in the form of Demand Draft payable to Kolkata in favour of college Name. We had fee book which had clear break down of all the fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I never opted for any scholarship opportunities as I was never eligible for the scholarship. All the scholarship were based on percentile and my percentage was not so good.

Campus Life

4.5

It was a good campus with Zero tolerance to sexual harrasment and ragging. Gender ration was different for different courses so on average for overall was 40:60 female:male. We had students from different part of the country with different culture, caste and race. Our college was government sponsored college and also few courses were self sponsored.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I had not opted for the hostel also our college does not have hostel facility for the boys. I am not sure if hostel was available for girls. I used to stay in a missionary hostel which was bit far from hostel. When I joined hostel in 2008, admission fee charged was 10000 amoung which 1500 was refundable and monthly fee was 450/- and for meal has to pay extra 800/- for lunch and dinner no breakfast. In each room there were two beds, hostel has provided with fan, light, bed, matress, study table, wardrobe, show rack to each of them. Overall it was the best hostel

Alumni/Alumna

Great. I am still in touch with few of my seniors and with all the college friends. My seniors had helped me many time during finding placement, for any college related issue. Admission of my junior to the same or other colleges. We have very good bonding with the alumni and we ofter try to meet to hang out

Admission

I got admission through merit list that too in the third list. I opted for this evening college as it offered Marketing Management as main subject. Also, it was one of the best college of our time and it gave me options to do part time job during day and college in the evening. From the money I earned from part time job helpful me to fill forms for banking service.

Faculty

4.5

The course was for three years. Every day we used to have 90 minutes of lectures and that was 5 days a week. 90 minutes lecture was taken by 2 professor 45 min each. During lecture they gave us examples of few advertisement which helped the product to survive in the market. They also taught us right advertisement is very important also with choice of area for the product to be launched.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.
