Remarks

The college is overall a decent college to join with a good experience and learned faculty. It provides you with adequate knowledge and good opportunities for the future through its placement cell. There is nothing bad about the college of the people around per say and is worthy of being joined for a good experience.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is a 3 year course and the course curriculum is quite vast and very knowledgeable with in depth teaching about each subject offered in the course. I am specializing in political science and i can surely say that the curriculum consists of all that i need to know and apply in the future. The course curriculum is quite extensive and covers every concept and theory necessary to know. The course structure is very good with high focus on research. We are given many projects all year round to help develop our research skills creates a better understanding of the theories. The exams happen twice a year, one exam per semester with frequent internals such as class tests and assessments. It was pretty chilled with a tad load of pressure regarding projects.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell of the college is fairly good with companies ranging from decent to extremely well off visiting the college to provide job opportunities such as Vodafone, Samsung, Google, Nestle India, Amway, Deloitte, Blue Star, Dainik Jagran, etc., offering minimum wage stipend for students looking for an internship. The job opportunities after graduation seem very well with all the above mentioned companies coming in to offer jobs to the final year students.

College Events

3.5

The events organised by our college are pretty large scale and are dealt with at the State and National Level. We started these events by organizing a State Level Pool Drive conducted in 2017 and have grown ever since. Our college has also organised the 16th Chhattisgarh Young Scientist Congress in 2018 as well as the National Workshop on Innovation Digitization Tech. towards mission digital India in 2018. On a more lighter and non-technical side, our college has also organised a national level essay writing competition on the event of the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, and an inter-collegiate Youth Festival in 2019-2020.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible with an amount of 24,000 INR a year for the course. For the extensive syllabus, the amenities provided by the college and the extra curricular offered, the fees is quite practicable and affordable.

Campus Life

3.5

The university provides a well established environment for the overall growth of the students, not just academically but also with extra curricular. They have provided the students with all sorts of amenities ranging from a library to a sports complex for an all round development of the students. We have students coming in from all over India and the college refrains from being biased and provides equal opportunities to all students, male or female, in all arenas. The college consists of a library with a collection of over a thousand books providing extensive and extra knowledge to the students. The students can borrow books and return it within a week. The college also consists of an IT Center with the require number of computers and accessories accessible to all students. The college provides the students with a Laboratory to cater to the technological needs of the students with all necessary equipment. The college has a large canteen to fit all students and provide them with good quality, tasty food for their well being. Lastly, the college consists of a Sports Complex for the entertainment and physical well being of the students, to organize annual functions and other sports events.

Alumni/Alumna

The college occasionally calls over alumni of the college to give a speech or a seminar regarding the future prospects for the students. This is extremely helpful and relieving for the students having a slight hint regrading the career objectives. The seniors in the college have been quite friendly and obliging and have been up for any help needed during a crisis.

Admission

Hemchand Yadav Vishwavidyalaya, also known as Durg Vishwavidyalaya,is a renowned college in the state of Chhattisgarh. It was established in 2015 and i had heard about this up and coming college from a few friends and so i decided to give it a shot. The students applying to the college have to visit the admission portal of the university on the university website and register themselves using a valid email ID and phone number. They have to fill in the form provided on the website in the prescribed format to gain admission in the desired program. While filling the form, the students have to upload a scanned copy of their passport size photographs and a scanned copy of their signature, both less than 100 KB. After filling the form and fulfilling the eligibility criteria to gain admission in the preferred course, the candidate has to pay a certain amount of registration fees via Netbanking or a Debit/Credit card. I chose this course as I was an Arts student in 11th and 12th and was fascinated by Political Science. I wanted to pursue the subject further and make a full fledged career in it After the admission process was over, I was called for a personal interview with the Principal of the college and a panel of 2 more professors. They made me feel extremely comfortable and questioned me about my future plans, my likes, hobbies and so on.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty of the college are very helpful and adequately knowledgeable. They posses in depth knowledge regarding the subjects and are capable of clearing any doubts one has. They are extremely diligent and keep the students on their toes giving assignments and projects throughout the year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The bachelor of arts course provides you various subjects to choose to study for your profession such as history, geography, sociology, psychology, english literature, economics, etc. I believe you must prepare yourself for the challenges this world gives you. No one will ever help you at your lowest. I believe we should have classroom with air conditioning. We have exams every month and the course is usually of 4-5 months per semester. Completing 2 semesters means you exceeded onto the next year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is accurate and relevant. It is very intriguing even and a quiet interesting. Teaching methods of the faculty is easy going. There could be a little improvement made like making the lectures a bit more interesting so that students dont get bored after a while. The frequency of the exam are apt but during end sems the time gap between one exam and another could be more as mostly there is only one day gap during two exams and it sometimes gets hard to catch up.
