The positive remarks - Good infrastructure, Teachers, Good atmosphere. Negative remarks - College is situated in a remote place, Hostel food could be better, Leaves are Limited, college activities and celebrations are minimum.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is good. The learning structure is well defined consisting of both theoretical and practicals. The exams are conducted at the end of each semester, Two every year. The exam is conducted by the University and to pass a subject 50% of the marks are required.
Placement Experience
Yes, placements Are there. Most of our seniors who have completed the course are Placed mainly in shipping and freight departments both abroad and locally. Yes, the college provides an internship at the end of the second year. The College provides internships at different ports during the internships the students are provided with a stipend of about 10k rupees.
College Events
Fresher's Day- the college conducts a welcoming party for the fresher. Cultural Day -Cultural Activities, Games, Music, Dance Programs. College Day- Mainly consists of speeches from faculties, Dance Programmes. Maritime Day- Mainly speeches and Maritime activities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, there is a good scholarship programme available for the students. At the end of each semester, the top 3 students with the highest Marks are Provided with cheques from 20-40 thousand and are provided certificate ls for their Studying.
Alumni/Alumna
Our college has a good alumni network which I am a part of the network is connected with all the seniors, all past members of our college. The network is very helpful as we can get information regarding any activities happening in the college.
Admission
I got in via the merit list, The College will invite application from students through the college website. After that college will publish selected candidates in a list and will publish it on the website, selected candidates can pay the fees online and enter the college. The University Will publish 3 lists and the entrance exam is not there for qualification.
Faculty
Good Faculties are Present, Most of them have taught in IITS AND IIMS, They are very helpful in studies and other extracurricular activities. Their way of teaching is good, They explain each topic in an easy understanding manner with help of ppts, videos which are super helpful and if doubts arise the teachers will help to clear them.
