Remarks
I would like to say that the college infrastructure should be lot lot lot improved. Also core companies for departments like EEE EC civil and mechanical rarely visit the campus for recruitment. There should be more events more extra curricular activities, the teaching should be improved in every aspect so that a student can make the full use of it.
Course Curriculum Overview
My opinion on the course as follows, to be honest i didnt gain any crucial knowledge from the instituition. It was just the same study and write exam type scenario. There was no practical knowledge or activities provided to us so that we could learn something. I woudnt blame engineering it is fun to learn. Exam structure was as follows we had a module system 5 modules each subject and total of 8 semesters. Each semester one final exam and 3 internal tests. There were practical and theory exams both, where practical exams had viva voce too.
Placement Experience
There were few placement opportunities, I woudnt say sufficient but during my time there were like 7-8 companies which visited our campus. They say top companies visit our college for recruitment but it is false, the companies which came were either consultancy services or were BPO companies. Our college did not provide any internship.
College Events
We celebrate all the occasion in our college with good joy and we celebrate all the events.such as sports day and annual meeting with good people.and we also keep a separate program on girl child empowerment‚Äã and also help and contribute some money to homeless people and children in the remand homes
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure i would say its fisible, for the CET quota the fees were around 60k for a year excluding the exam fees which cost us 1.6k around each semester. For management quota the fee structure is different depending on which department it is.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no loan facilities and scholarships provided by the college. However, i used to get a scholarship which was provided by the Karnataka government called as 'epass scholarship'. The scholarship eligibility was the candidate should be either from a selected caste, it was not applicable for the GM category.
Campus Life
The labs are normal they are not so advanced, the infrastructure for the lab buildings is awful. There is water clogged into the walls and dripping from the ceiling too. The instruments don't work or are faulty because of which students have to face alot of problems. There is a sports room which provides indoor and outdoor accessories, there is table tennis, carrom board, volleyball, basketball, football and so on. Sports is well encouraged in jain college of engineering.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors which we had were quite helpful, they helped us in every way that was possible whether it might be in organising events or preparing for the seminars interviews life advices, we had the best experience with them. They were all friendly and helpful
Admission
There was an entrance examination called as C.E.T. My ranking was about 35,032. After the results there is an process where you get to apply for colleges depending on what colleges are alloted for you in the selection process. There are three rounds where colleges are alloted to you, my first preference was jain college of engineering and I got the same in the first round
Faculty
The faculty for my department was the worse, they were not helpful at all. They just wanted to suck our blood out, in the name of assignments, seminars etc. The teaching was awful I woudnt suggest anyone to join electrical and electronics department of jain college of engineering.
