Remarks

Well I suppose our college needs to be more technical supportive and update their curriculum also. Semester schedule must be provided to students in the beginning of semester. Also day scholars would be allowed to go to hostel after checking in at entrance. Also there a signal jammers at college they should be removed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

According to me course curriculum needs to be updated. As present curriculum focuses more on Theory. But practical knowledge is more beneficial and helps us learn faster. Exam structure - when it comes to exams we are supposed to pay our exam fees and clear other dues before exams only after that we get our admit cards for examination hall. In exam, questions based on a topic is asked from various angles like definations, advantages, drawbacks, future scope etc. In practical exam we are supposed to perform some selected programs which are assigned to us by accessor and a viva is also conducted based on practical knowledge. But these programs needs to be updated as they are based on old standards.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are ample job and placement opportunities in my college. Moreover these opportunities are growing day by day. Recently a student of our college got a package of 31.77 lakh per annum. And average package received by students is arround 7-8 lakh. Yes, our college provides internships. They have tie ups with many companies. But till now i haven't tried to get an internship but willing to take some internship in next semester.

College Events

4.5

Our college celebrates all fests and auspicious day. List of few us discussed below- Diwali Dussehra Teej Baishakhi Holi Children's day Teacher's day Mother's day Father's day National science day National yoga day Engineer's day Gurupurb Lohri And lots of fests are also organised by various clubs like virsa, parivartan, virasat, phoenix etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides a number of scholarship schemes. Firstly students form sc/st/obc gets a huge relaxation in their semester and exams fees. Moreover there are scholarship schemes for meticulous students also. Students who scores above 9 sgpa in final semester exams then they receive full fee wavier. Also scholarships are also provides to students who performs good in field of sports.

Campus Life

4

When it comes to extra curricular activities our college plays greater role in it. They support students to take part in sports and other categories. My college was once college of some famous celebrity singers. They graduated from here and now having a fruitful life. Our students get to compete at national level and certifications and cash rewards and scholarships are provided for this also.

Alumni/Alumna

Our college arranges Alumini meets occasionally. Everytime they call up some alumini of the college. They share their reviews about their college life and life after college which is quite helpful for us. They guide us well that how should we study and for what we should study and what we have to study. So alumini meet is quite a helpful thing.

Admission

I took direct admission in college. I came to college with my father and then i was sent to a registrar. Over there They verified my documents and then we are supposed to pay the semester fees in advance. As I am a day scholar so I chose college bus transport and also paid for it in advance. I gave measurements for my dress and paid fees for it. That's it. It was whole procedure followed by me.

Faculty

4

Faculty of our college is quite supporting. They are highly qualified. Most of them possesses doctorate degrees in their respective fields. They guide us well. Makes us aware of new available resources and technologies and also help us through our projects.

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.
