VIT is a decent private college for engineering

They are very strict but that's what makes it one of the best.

One of the best things about VIT is the course curriculum. It covers all the important areas of my branch and also VIT provides this soft skills service which directly only focuses on the student's ability to face company interviews and placements. Many industrial visits and guest lectures are organized on an around weekly basis for different subjects.

For the past 2-3 years, VIT has been providing full placements and is holding a record too for 100% placement.

There are numerous events celebrated in the institute for both technical and cultural sides. The main fest includes Riviera which is one of the biggest cultural fests in India and from a technical point of view Gravitas is organized each year. Many guest lectures and industrial visits are organized from time to time. All South Indian festivals are given a bit more weightage than North Indian ones though.

The fee structure is approximately the same as any other engineering institutes in India. Branch - information technology The fee actually depends on the branch student gets enrolled in. According to that, there might be a different fee structure of college for the same branch.

College does provide an option of scholarship for scorers in VITEEE and also it gives many opportunities for different scholarship programs from different institutions.

Infrastructure is top notch and very supportive for leading a healthy student life, gender ratio with respect to other engineering colleges in India is pretty good in VIT. Sometimes there are instances where some teachers do discriminate between north and south students but it's bearable like in any other south colleges.

Yes, news hostels are pretty good and spacious, although with old hostels room size might be an issue. otherwise, cleanliness is strictly maintained. They give an option of 1,2,3,4,6 and 8 bedded rooms.

Yes, VIT conducts various programs and functions and guest lectures so that students can interact with their seniors and alumni, which is kinda very important for each one of us.

VIT conducts an entrance exam named VITEEE, it usually conducts its way before other engineering colleges in April. The entrance exam is easy but as VIT is a popular institute so approximately 3 lakh students sit for it So one must prepare accordingly. The admission process also consists of admissions through categories. This allows students with less ranks to take admission by paying extra fees to the institute. VITEEE generally is held in April and college commences by July first week.

Most faculties are PhDs and professionals. But as in any other college, some are sometimes reluctant which might be considered. Regarding industry experience or certification, for main courses very informative and responsible teachers have been assigned.
