Remarks

Lifts do work as per they should, which causes students problem in reaching there classes on time. Management should change the canteen.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE - I was selected on basis of Sindhi Quota plus the score of AIEEE exam in 2006. I studied my 11th and 12th standard with Bio as optional subject, and wanted to get into Biomedical or Biotechnology field of engineering. Though rajasthan doesnt have that great exposure and good colleges in these fields. Hence I moved to Mumbai and opted one of the best colleges in these fields with good placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It covered all the aspects of medical instrumentation.Right from second year, it started with human anatomy and physiology, to make us understand the human body and basics of electronics.Further in 3rd year, human anatomy and electronics were mixed and came the basic instruments and there functions, working principles and more detailed electronics involved behind desiging them.Final year gave the best opportunity with 6 months industrial training, and project work, and electives such as Hospital Management/ Advance Imaging / Nuclear Medicine.Which competed the course and made us develop ourselves with industrial experience, hands on with project work and choice of course keeping our future job or studies in mind.

Internships Opportunities

Stipend was based on the industry you select. Generally there were no stipends.college used to support us in getting the industry people in college to select students for the internship. that was the great help to get into the professional world before passing the college.I joined GE healthcare in Bangalore, in the manufacturing facility.

Placement Experience

4.5

Many students prefer to go abroad for further studies. Rest all students get always placed. There are always enough companies visiting the college during placements and offer lucrative offers to students based on their performance in interviews. In the end it is 100% placement either student do not opt for job and go for further studies and others opt for jobs.

College Events

5

This list is huge and difficult for me to detail all events. Cultural: Avalanche Trifles All sort of days - Traditional etc Technical: IEEE fest Every Department has there own technical fest Biomedical - XEURON (I was the one who initiated the XEURON) Sports: Basket Ball, Football, Table Tennis etc In whole of year

Fee Structure And Facilities

With respect to other colleges, the fees is not very high and reasonable. But over all if you see the cost of studies is high, due to classes, notes, projects etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

No loan facilities available with college to support students. But there are different quotas, in which the fees waiver is provided to encourage people from all parts of country to come and study and make it affordable.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is rocking, there are 4 colleges in one campus. The crowd is awesome. The location of college is best. There are lot of eateries around the college.Girls to boys ratios is good - rather i would say in few branches there are more girls than boys.Labs are updated and are equipped with good instruments. For sports, college doesn't have there own grounds, so that is where students suffer and have to search for practice and playing. There are many cultural and technical societies, in which students can involve as per their interest and learn new things and develop themselves.Girls are open minded and college has no restriction on clothes.( No restriction means sleevless and shorts are allowed for girls but obviously no nonsense is accepted.)Guys are well behaved and respect girls. No raging and friendly environment in college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No hostel and mess facilities provided from college. The college do not have hostels or mess. There are 2 canteens in the college premises and students have to pay and buy food as and when needed.

Alumni/Alumna

There are various activities and programmes organized to keep the seniors and alumni students get in connected and help the current students in whichever way possible. Even I go sometimes to conduct lectures for students.

Exam Structure

There are total of 8 semesters in 4 years. Within a semester, there are 2 mid term exams, to keep students par with course work and prepared for the final exams. Vivas and practical exams for the practical subjects. Vivas for the project workVivas for the

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
