Remarks

The crowd. It's too much. But they handle it well.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Yes. It is aligned to the industrial requirements and is up to date with qualified faculties. There are multiple Industrial visits and placement activities and training carried out by professionals from the industry. They also have soft skills enhancement courses throughout the curriculum

Placement Experience

5

More than 500 companies come to the campus for placements for all engineering branches. But mostly CSE/IT.

College Events

4.5

Technical fest - Gravitas with various tech companies Cultural fest - Riviera with superstar lineups and performances Various other hackathons and events every other week Multiple IEEE chapters, cultural clubs. Community radio. VIT racing clubs who make their own cars from scratch

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. Because our college is an Ihre funded college ( semi - govt.) So the fees are pretty less. For merit, per year it is 32, 000 and for management, it is 64, 000. 1800 is the exam fee and the rest is the tuition fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. The entire fees were paid in cash. The scholarship is available only for the top 1000 rankers in the entrance exam

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is very happening, some events are always going on be it technical or cultural or fun games. The gender ratio isn't that good in any engineering college. There are more than 50 technical/cultural clubs and chapters for different kinds of exposure.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes. There are categories with single Sharing, double sharing, triple sharing, four sharing, and six sharing, all with options for AC and Non-AC with different fees for the same. Ranging from 18k for 6 bed NAC to 96k for 1 bed AC

Alumni/Alumna

I haven't been a part of the alumni network for long. But I've heard they've regular meets and is really good and helpful

Admission

Online application, entrance exam at a certain location, computer-based, counseling, and selection of branch at a college campus. VIT has a really good reputation for CSE and good placements. From the private institutions, it is definitely a top 3 institute in India.

Faculty

4

Variable. From really brilliant ones to average ones. There are researchers with wonderful and brilliant minds. There are professors with really good industry experience as well and there are some who are VIT alumnus and teach in the same college itself.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Placement Experience:

Chennai Institute of Technology is an instituition that truly prioritizes student career growth . The placement cell is exceptionallu well-organized ,consistently connecting students with reputed companies across various industries. What makes CIT stood out is the quality of its training staff. They focus heavily on communication , technical knowledge and competitive preparation ,align students with what top companies expect ,and contiuosly push us to improve and meet industry standards. Their structured training helped me to clearly identify my strengths and work on my weak areas, which made a huge difference during interviews and boosted my overall confidence. The department faculty are equally commnedable ,knowledgable ,approachable and genuinely invested in student career. Overall CIT is an excellent choice for anyone focused on building a strong and sucessful career
