My college review

Speaking of academics, placements the college is good compared to other colleges. It is also well connected by buses. The basic facilities (labs, toilets, classrooms) in the college is good. The point of improvement may be in developing infrastructure of college and encouragement to extracurricular activities

The college is under VTU University curriculum and the exam pattern is 80-20(external-internal), however the pattern is changed for juniors (60-40). Syllabus is module based, have to read all 5 modules, no choice and some concepts are obselete for current trends, but can't change as it's under VTU.

Placements for CS and IS is very good, but for EC core companies are very few( for our batch it is even less), but most of students get placed in mass recruiting companies like Accenture with a package of around 4lpa. Some mails regarding internship are sent to students which will mostly be for 6months, but since University prescribed internship is only for 4 week, one must approach companies on their own or pay some money and do the internship in the college.

There is a college fest every even sem and department fest every odd sem. It is for 3 days. Inter College fest is celebrated every alternate years. Celebrities are invited for the fest. Rakshit shetty was one. Flash mobs, street dances are held before the fest Open houses are held every semester, and celebrations like rajyotsava etc are also celebrated.

The fee structure for government quota follows the guidelines laid by the government. It is around 50k and college ge fees of 25k which includes laboratory fees, records, exam fees. No more fees is collected by the college. The government fees keeps changing as per government fees. Coming to management quota it varies for different branches, it is around 3. 2 lac for ECE

There are no loan facilities provided by the college itself but one can avail educational loans from banks and talking about scholarship as per my knowledge there are no such provisions. However the college also has some recommendations for loan facilities. There is an integrated bank within the college premises

Yeah we do participate in tournaments also we have volley ball and throwball for girls and also we have a encouragement from our college where we have played many tournaments for our college where we have no stress

It mostly depends on you, seniors reply only if you enquire anything otherwise they just don't bother. There is no ragging either in the college or hostel by the seniors. Only a few alumni come and meet the faculty. Even I didn't have much input from seniors of our college while I was much connected with other college seniors.

I wrote Karnataka CET entrance exam and got a rank around 5k, I applied through government quota for ECE branch in RNSIT and was alloted a seat. The college reopens in the month of August. The fees is around 75k per year.

The college is one of the top under VTU and has best faculty. Most of them are either PhD holders or pursuing PhD. Faculty members are cooperative to students, but quite strict rules compared to other colleges.
