My college review

PhD course is pursued by the students after post graduation. It is a doctorate program which includes lot of scientific research and practicals. The days are generally very hectic and exams too are very tiring.

The institute has collaborations with various clinics like Dept. of Gynecology-Cancer Centre Welfare Home and Research Institute, to provide expert clinical advice and training to the students. The students admitted to the program shall receive a fellowship of Rs. 16000 per month for the first 2 years of the program. After completion of the course work, students shall undergo comprehensive evaluation by a Review Committee. On being recommended for continuation in the PhD program, the student shall be awarded the NIBMG Ph.D. fellowship JRF/SRF , for up to 5 years.

An academic administration fee of Rs. 5,000 would be payable by each student at the start of each semester. For each of the first 3 semesters, there will be a tuition fee of Rs. 6000 payable at the start of the semester. A monthly fee of Rs. 2500 will be charged for the hostel accommodation. A one-time fee of Rs. 10,000 would be applicable during Ph.D. Thesis submission.

The Institute operates from its huge 30-acre campus with academic blocks, student and faculty housing, conference centre and other facilities. Laboratories, bio-banking facility, state-of-the-art tissue culture facilities and stem cell laboratory, office space and class rooms have been established.

National Institute of Biomedical Genomics ( NIBMG) is a national level research institute for genomic medicine.It is located at Kalyani West Bengal. It has been established as an autonomous institution under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. In order to be a part of this institution, the has to be a postgraduate and must apply for the research program. The selected students will be called.

The faculty of the institution is very good. The center has expert faculty who are highly skilled and experienced professionals in the field of Biomedical Genomics. They also encourage students in every possible way and help them when they need.
