Course Curriculum Overview

3

The AICTE define guidelines for engineering program at the bachelors level are followed in our college as far as the syllabus and curriculum are concerned. Exams are held as normal in a semester wise pattern and before the end semester examinations assignments and practical evaluations are done as a part of the academic process.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement wise our colleges just ok. Don't come with the expectation that you will get packages of 10 to 15 LPA through campus placement as this is not true. To get big packages and good opportunities a student has to do efforts on his own as through campus placement you can only get a job up to 3 LPA or 3.5 LPA at max. Internship is an important part of the program and student is required to do arrangements on its own as the institute doesn't provide support for that.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee charged by our college is comparatively quite less in regards to other private colleges offering this program. For the entire course duration one has to pay around Rs 62,000 only. The amount has to be submitted annually at the start of each academic year and not at once.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Government of NCT of Delhi have started a scholarship program for all the students who are studying in the institutes of Delhi and are from economically weaker sections of society, reserved categories or are from below poverty line category. Apart from the scholarship education loans also available for students to avail the financial benefits.

Campus Life

3

There is not much happening things in terms of extra-curricular activities or event celebrations when I talk about my Institute. It's just another mediocre Engineering College experience that we have on daily basis to be honest. Hower in terms of infrastructure the things are not that bad and we get all the necessary facilities that are required to be there in an Engineering college.

Admission

I got the admission in the institute based on my JEE main score. Since my score in JEE main was not too good I didn't make it to a good Institute that I was looking for through the counselling so I settled for it. Apart from the entrance based admission direct admission are also granted through the management quota to students. The only one reason for opting for this institute was that I was looking for pursuing Chemical Engineering and this institute being near to my residence was offering this branch so I opted for it.

Faculty

3

To be honest I find the faculty of our college to be fine. You can expect them to be like any other professors in typical engineering colleges who push for syllabus completion more than keeping in mind the factor how much students are understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
