Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is designed as a three-year degree course. Students have to successfully complete 85 credits in over six semesters. Exams are held every six months and all the students have to undertake at least two internships.

Placement Experience

5

Very good job opportunities and placements are provided by our college. Almost all the students manage to get a job related to their course curriculum. Yes, our college also provides Internship programs for all the courses. Stipend may not be much, but the internship gives a great experience to all the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In my degree course, total fees are like 3,000 INR as Application fees, 3,50,000 per annum as tuition fees and 2,40,000 per annum as residential fees. It is a residential college so all the students, must have to pay residential fees.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities always boost our confidence level. Our college is a co-educational college with an almost equal ratio among girls and boys. But there is always a competition among girls and boys over participating in extracurricular activities and getting high scores.

Alumni/Alumna

I got a chance to meet our college alumni once during college cultural programs. Almost half of the alumni were present and share with us their success story that starts from this college. It was a very pleasing moment for us.

Admission

I got 60% marks in SAT and took admission in this college as honors in Economics. The admission process in this college depends on the scores obtained in JSAT, SAT and ACT examinations. More than 55% of marks in these exams are acceptable.

Faculty

4

We have a very friendly relationship with all our department teachers. It is not easy to get a job in our college as an associate professor. All our faculties are very meritorious and knowledgeable persons. They have a good educational background.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific Aspects That Influenced the Decision For students choosing a professional or certificate course, the curriculum usually becomes the deciding factor based on three key pillars: Job-Oriented Specific Skills: The primary influence is the curriculum's direct focus on market-based, job-ready skills (e.g., Python, Data Science, Digital Marketing tools). Unlike a traditional degree, the appeal is that every module must be immediately applicable to a job. Portfolio Development: Students are heavily influenced by modules that are project-based or require them to build a portfolio (like a website, a code repository, or a marketing plan). The curriculum must be designed to result in tangible work that can be shown to employers. Industry Certification Alignment: If the course prepares students for an external, recognized industry certificate (like CCNA, MCP, or Google/Meta certificates), the curriculum's strict adherence to that certification standard is a major influence. 2. Preparation for Real-World Applications The curriculum of a successful short-term course is designed to excel specifically in preparing students for real-world applications. Curriculum Improvements Mandatory Soft Skills Integration: While technical skills are a focus, the curriculum should mandate dedicated modules on non-technical, yet critical, job skills like: Professional Communication and Email Etiquette Team Collaboration and Project Management (Agile/Scrum basics) Interview Preparation and Mock Interviews Industry Feedback Loop: Establish a more frequent and formal system to update the curriculum based on current industry demands, possibly involving an advisory board of employers or recent alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.
