Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fees is paid in two installments i.e. 94,000 for odd semester and 62,000 for even semester in which tution fees is 45000 , development fund is 18000 and other fee is 31000 for odd semester, tution fees 45000 and development fund is 17000 for even semester, there is scholarship based on how much you have scored , and it can be discontinued if your cgpa drops below 8 during the degree , all the batchmates pay the same fees, scholarship can only be given based on the scores of class 12th ,

Campus Life

4

There are many festivals celebrated in the university, some are on university level and some on departmental level. University level festivals include university freshers, diwali celebration, garba night, and many more. Also a 2 day event happens in the university in which all the departments throughout the university arranges small workshops and events through which u get life skill points and certificates . Enough books and journals are provided in the library but library is placed way too far from the departments . Every class has AC and projector, there are many spots and extra curricular activities offered in the campus for which we get certification and life skill points . There are many societies in the university which anyone can join through the auditions, the major societies are dance society, music society, fashion society, etc .

Admission

I didn't applied to any other college I dropped out of engineering college, so I didn't had many options. Addmission process is easy , you just need your 10th and 12th result along with migration certificate, character certificate, etc. there's no eligibility required for addmission you just need 60per above from any field in 12th.

Faculty

5

There are faculty assigned to every single student as their mentor , we can easily approach them in case of any problem related to academics, the faculty is very easily approachable, around 15 students per faculty. My favourite faculty is Supriya Srivastava, she's very helpful and sweet, she always helps every student and encourage us to be more active in studies and also co- curricular activities. Our department HOD Priyanka Tiwari is also an amazing teacher, very smart and amazing at teaching, there's no faculty I haven't liked so far . There are total of 3 exams in a semester, sessional 1,2 and end semester exam, sessionals are for 30 marks and end semester for 100, very less students fail to clear the exams, course curriculum is very relevant.

Night Life

4

There are many hangout places in the university like Nescafe, chai garam, outside are shibuya. Hostel students are allowed to go out of college before 4pm and not after that , campus timings are till 4pm . Hostel students are allowed to roam inside the campus till 9pm .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Specific Aspects That Influenced the Decision For students choosing a professional or certificate course, the curriculum usually becomes the deciding factor based on three key pillars: Job-Oriented Specific Skills: The primary influence is the curriculum's direct focus on market-based, job-ready skills (e.g., Python, Data Science, Digital Marketing tools). Unlike a traditional degree, the appeal is that every module must be immediately applicable to a job. Portfolio Development: Students are heavily influenced by modules that are project-based or require them to build a portfolio (like a website, a code repository, or a marketing plan). The curriculum must be designed to result in tangible work that can be shown to employers. Industry Certification Alignment: If the course prepares students for an external, recognized industry certificate (like CCNA, MCP, or Google/Meta certificates), the curriculum's strict adherence to that certification standard is a major influence. 2. Preparation for Real-World Applications The curriculum of a successful short-term course is designed to excel specifically in preparing students for real-world applications. Curriculum Improvements Mandatory Soft Skills Integration: While technical skills are a focus, the curriculum should mandate dedicated modules on non-technical, yet critical, job skills like: Professional Communication and Email Etiquette Team Collaboration and Project Management (Agile/Scrum basics) Interview Preparation and Mock Interviews Industry Feedback Loop: Establish a more frequent and formal system to update the curriculum based on current industry demands, possibly involving an advisory board of employers or recent alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.
