This department has prepared its course curriculum in a way to ensure that students develop strong writing as well as understanding skills of English literature. Apart from that, focus is also given on development of strong communication skills as well as knowledge of english history etc.

Placement Experience

The college conducts recruitment drive to recruit students in the best industries out there. The industries usually select students based on their overall performance and to enhance that, there are seminars and other skill development programs conducted.

I chose this course as because I like English Literature. The student ratio that my class own is about 48 students in total. Majority of the teachers who are posted there are those who have qualified with NET (NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST). The current HOD is one of the retired Assistant Professor from one of the renowned college around Kozhikode town. Internal exam were timely, but coming to University exams it was so restless. But as if now, it is getting into the track again by conducting exams on time.

I applied in various colleges under the University of Kerala. I was waiting for a merit seat in those top colleges. I got merit seat in Emmanuel college in first allotment after that I was waiting for the next allotment to take place and finally after the second allotment I got a merit seat in Christ Nagar college Maranalloor for Bcom commerce with computer application. After some days we were asked to come to the college with our parents and confirm the seat. Along with the marksheet, migration certificate and University application form we went to the college. We met a few people and the head of the Commerce Department conducted a small interview where he asked some questions regarding accountancy and then my future plans.
