Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our course which offers Sociology as a major at masters level is one of a kind and also unique in its own manner. We focus only on the subject of Sociology as a whole. Our lectures are pretty chill and less hectic.

Placement Experience

3

For Sociology students, there are no separate on campus placements available and I would recommend to seek for any internship or job opportunities outside. There are many programmes supporting research which the students can check out as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since our college is a complete women's university, there is a complete support from government for financial terms and fees structure. If still the student is not able to gather the funds, there are many government backed scholarship options worth looking at.

Campus Life

3.5

Our college aims to create and increase social interaction between the students by co ducting extra curricular activities. Many informative seminars, educational trips and tours, college festivals etc are held in order to receive tremendous enthusiasm and increase interaction between students as well.

Admission

I had filled out an admission form where all the details needed to be filled and documents needed to be attached, which will further be verified and personally evaluated by the college. The merit list will be released on the basis of this evaluation.

Faculty

3.5

There are some really experienced, talented and professors with great amount of knowledge and experience in research field. They allow us to ask doubts in the smallest of things and are very supportive.

Placement Experience:

Most of the placements that took place at least for the literature departments ended up with people joining educational institutes and NGOs. Very few joined corporate enterprises like Accenture. But it does provide almost a 5 LPA, if well placed. It is academically rigorous, therefore academics are weighed more than industry.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for applying for internships after the 3rd semester, and students can apply for placements only after 4th semester. Companies like Ericsson, Ernst and Young, JPMG makes visits our department for mostly analyst roles for economic and fundamental trading decisions. The highest offer made was 45LPA while the average is 7.5LPA. The median pakage is 8LPA. Almost 90% students secure placements after completing their degree since the Training and placement cell is pretty proactive in securing good company visits. I plan for investing and analyst roles in banking companies. I would sit for placements hoping for the same.
