BFIT has good campus life

Good college, attendance is strict and you have to be strict about attending lectures not only for attendance but at the end of lectures itself, teachers take test sometimes. That's is why teachers are strict about attendance.

The Course Structure is very good and is based on the current modules being taught in all central universities and latest studies of Biotechnology. The course structure allows you enough time to study on your own as well as learn extra skills and practical knowledge. Fees are also very feasible i.e 55,000/- annually.

Placements are really good with some handsome amount of salary with a package of around 5 to 7 lac per annually. For my course jobs have been offered in banks hospitals companies or some forensic labs. Students can also go for government jobs in these fields. Internship details are shared by the teacher, we have to contact companies own their own. Said by seniors.

BFIT have numerous amount of events being celebrated 1. Techno Jashan 2. Rangreeza 3. Freshers/ Farewell 5. And much more. They are even several competition held every now and then for everyone to take part and I have participated in a Writing competition to which I have won first prize.

The fee structure is feasible, the price for a year fees is 55,000/- Mode of payment college accept is demand draft, online payment and cash, all these modes BFIT accept. Transparency in fee broke down is there all the price is shown for the lab, tuition fee, library, security deposit and more.

I have not opted for scholarship but college do provide scholarship I have not enough knowledge about it. Scholarships are for scholars and sports. Maybe more I am not aware of that.

The gender ratio is good, I have not seen any racism yet. You can see all kind of students from local to South Indian and Bengali. Sports competition carry around every month, Parliament debates competition, poster making, writing competitions, art, advertisement making and more. Seminars are also conducted where companies arrive and share their experiences.

Alumni, I have heard but never had a conversation I guess no one. But seniors are very supportive. In fact, one of my senior helps me with my practical exams as well. Many of my classmates are even dear friends with seniors some of them has formed WhatsApp group as well.

M.Sc Biotechnology is my course (second semester). There are two ways of getting the admission direct admission on merit that includes you will be awarded 100% scholarship if you have scored more than 93% in your class 12 and a CGPA of 8 in your graduation. Whereas 50% to those who have scored 90% in class 12 and a CGPA of 7.5 in graduation.

Faculty of our college provide their numbers and also their mail ids for us to keep in touch with them always. Even they are available for use in our college to help us out or management at BFIT is also help us to get extra classes or counselling session from teachers itself. Attendance procedure is very strict, few of teachers are very strict about it as well. Especially during practical lectures.
