College Events

4.5

Being a medical college most of the time is spend here behind academics, but that doesn't make a all work no play environment. We are proud to host one of the most happening fears in Eastern India in the month of September-October, our beloved "ECSTASY". A 5 days of celebration with innumerable events, games, performances. We have star studded events- Sonu Nigam,Armaan Malik, Aditi Singh Sharma, Neeraj Sreedhar, Nakas Aziz, Rupam Islam, Anupam Roy, Pota, and many many many more. Apart from these, we have a large ground for sports events- cricket ( men's and women's), Football and tennis

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very much affordable. One semester fee is around 4500 INR. University exam registration fee another 2000. There is provision of scholarship depending on family income. Hostel fees are nominal, there's no added electricity or water bill that has to be given.Only food bill gets added.Admission is only only and only according to merit list. It's a government medical college and hence fees are really on the lowest possible side.Payment in cash/ DD.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, scholarship is offered in two forms.First for the ones coming of an economically weak background, they are granted a relaxation in the fees after their documents meet the criteria decided. Second based on merit, at annual prize distribution ceremony, a one time scholarship is granted.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is pretty well balanced, M:F- 55:45. In ladies hostel 1 dorm- 5-6 beds. Cultural society is entrusted with the organisation of all cultural programmes in the college and of course 'Ecstasy'- the annual cultural fest of NRSMC. Regarding diversity of students, the admission is on an all India rank and hence you'll find students from different states of India living together like a family. As the graduates pass out of this institution, they forget where they belonged to, what were their differences, but they are all united under the banner of NILRATANITES. NRSMC is strictly politics free. There is only one body by the name of student's council and the member are decided voluntarily, based on their cultural abilities.

Alumni/Alumna

Here in NRSMC one will discover a new definition of Senior- Junior relationship. It is essentially a campus free from any form of ragging. The seniors are here like our second parents, every thing you learn is mostly from your seniors. From the anxiety of the first item to the first ever successful Intravenous cannulation, it is our seniors who hold our hands thourough thick and thin.

Admission

I want to be a doctor' is the most commonly found answer in the exam sheets of toddlers when they are asked to write on 'My aim in Life'. However, for me it was not a childhood dream, it came upon much later in class 11 out of sheer love for biology. Then AIPMT 2015- my AIR was 2740- got NRS thourough second round of counselling. Today the process remains same- NEET-UG -> Counselling -> allotment-> visit college Students Section-> admission process and it's done.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties are present in the Department on all working days, they come to take regular lecture classes, demonstration classes, and ward visits. Lecture classes are there every 6 days a week. HOD's can serve even after the official age of retirement (65). Our faculties are all experts in their respective fields with years of knowledge and expertise. Course Curriculum Overview:

Well, mbbs is very hard and long term process. You will be bored in 1st year because you cant get real clinical cases. But in Final year, 3rd Prof Part 2, you will get huge pressure. Because there are total 11 subjects, you should study in final year. It is a great burden for all. I'm not satisfied with Nmc curriculum. They are not thinking about students. They are implement their rules in chilled ac room. But they don't know the real scenarios.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very noble. It gives us the power to heal others. When I was a child, i was impressed by the ability and skills of a doctor. The patient family were treating him like god. So i decided to pursue it because of the amount of respect and wealth we gain. In the real world it helps us to become a good person, interact with the injured society and connect to the people emotionally. Teaching methods could be improved by giving more and more real life examples and exposing to the wards and clinics. Learning is more fun when we do more practicals. The college must ensure that more and more practical classes and clinical exposure is given to the students so that they can learn effeciently. The cases of the cirriculum should be given to the students to look how they handle it.

The concept of education is misunderstood my many students. Students want to study in order to make money and become rich so that they can fulfill their wants. Similarly money is invested by parents in terms of the amount of investment it will reap in the future. Because of this reason females are not given much higher education in our country.
