Review of PMEC, Berhampur

The only problem lies in this college is the electricity problem. There are frequent power cuts during summers. Only this problem needs to be solved.

Teaching is done according to the Syllabus. Various exams are conducted here. Classes are done regularly. There are Practicals, Surprise Tests, Vivas, Internal Exams, Quiz Tests and Semester Exams which are done time by time. Apart from these various seminars are also organised by the College.

There are various functions organised during various occasions. The common is the Technical Fest and the Cultural Fest which is held during the Even Semesters. Various Debates, Quizzes, Photography, Rangoli, etc competitions are organised every year.

The Fee structure is feasible as the institution is a Government Controlled one. The mode of payment of fees is usually in cash or NEFT. The Fee structure is as follows:- 30, 900 for Odd Semester 1500 for Even Semester Additionally there is only Library fine which is paid if the books due date is over.

No, I haven't opted for any scholarship because My father is a Govt. Employee and The scholarships aren't for us. These scholarships are for the students whose parents aren't Govt. Employees and have less annual income.

Apart from Studies, there are various extracurricular activities inside the campus. There are different labs for different practicals. Different Clubs are also there like Robotics, Drama, Writing, Dancing, Singing, Photography etc. All these clubs allow all the Genders to be a part of it equally. Coming to the Sports, Annual Sports is held before the Cultural Fest. Various Indoor and Outdoor sports are played. Winning Contestants are awarded with Prizes. We also have a Utility Block inside the campus which is a Students Activity Area.

Yes, I have opted for Hostel. In the 1st Year, Private Hostels were provided to us which were out of the campus and were adopted by the Institution. From the 2nd Year, In Campus hostels were provided to us. Ours was a 400 seated hostel. A new 500 seated hostel is Now constructed. Ours is a 4-bedded room but it's a bit small for 4 Girls. In the odd semester the bill along with the food is around 25000-26000 and in the Even semester it is around 12000-13000.

All the Seniors were good and helpful. They helped us with notes and study materials. Also other things apart from Studies.

There is a entrance exam called Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) by which I was allotted this College and Branch. All the documents were initially submitted at the time of JEE exam. Only Demand Draft is submitted at the time of Admission along with a Form which is provided by the College.

There are different number of faculties in different branches. In My department, there are 5 Regular Faculties, 5 Guest Faculties and a Lab Assistant. All the Regular Faculties are middle aged and the Guest ones are young people. All are good at teaching and help in our problems.
