Remarks

The college management is very poor. Actually we saw that in our last year we got no principle and not even that you can see that the buildings are half build. The college faculties are helpful with some extent. Overall the college is good but not the best you can choose.

Entrance Preview

I gave OJEE examination in the year 2012 and then i attended the counseling process and i got this college.I got 1300 ZZ rank in that examination. And i got some info that this college got 80% of placement in the year 2011 so i took this college into my consideration.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The courses that are provided in this college are EEE,EE,CSE and Mechanical engineering. The course is according to the BPUT course structure. We got the practical knowledge as well through our regular labs. And the we also attended many ppt classes whose aim is to prepare the students for the interview.

Internships Opportunities

No our college doesn't provided any kind of internship. You got to apply yourself for internship in companies. But our college did provided AUTO-CAD and other extra courses.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement is good but not at all good if you compare it with other gandhi colleges beside it. You ll not get companies like HP,LG or Infosys or wipro. But they will provide some average companies like parida power and few good companies too like micromax.

College Events

4.5

Yes we did have annual sports and functions. We also did the LEARNING JAVA program. And we played quizes etc. But the events are not that big.But its good to have small one as well.As we only have to gather knowledge. Its nothing to do with the size of the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is affordable if you compare it with other colleges. The hostel fees is 50k per year. And college fee is 75k per year. And the bus fee is 12k per year. So the total amount is only 137000 rs. So its less in comparison to other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

No the college will not provide any kind of loan facility or scholarship. So you got to manage the money and all the financial requirement yourself.

Campus Life

2

The campus is very natural with trees and gardens. And the college have only one canteen. (You ll get snacks biscuits rolls chow and cold drinks only. The infrastructure is bad. But everyone is friendly. Standard wise the look of the college is underdeveloped but its developing right now. you ll face lil amount of rags but that cause no harm.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are very good and clean. With a good warden and security guards. The boys hostels are inside the campus but the girls hostel are in khandagiri i.e 7km from there. And the quality of food is good enough to live.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors were very much helpful. We shared and learned many things from them.(Yes more than the faculties) We were in regular interaction with our seniors and we had so much fun.

Exam Structure

Yes the exams are very frequent so you have to prepare well.Because you ll get whole big syllabus and only 2-3 months. Labs are good. But there are few or no lab attendant so its quite bad.

Faculty

3

The college faculties are good but less in number some of our faculties are highly qualified and some are below the average. So its a mixed up situation. But as a whole its good but not the best.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

From 7th sem the students became eligible for campus selection. Companies like Infosys, EVEREADY, ACC , ultratech and many more offering annual packages starting from 2lakhs to 8lakhs. Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. After getting the degree i want to do a job in electrical companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Padmanava College of engineering is coming under Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT , odisha). As there is always a myth about private colleges that they help in cheating but from my experience padmanava College is strictly against cheating and rather it supports quality of education. If you are a hard working student you will pass the exam very easily.
