Course Curriculum Overview

4

Academically College is giving their 100 percent for the improvement and learning of students. Past academic review of this college was very good and that also continuing now, they are improving day by day by doing better. College also provides extra courses that can be added in our CV and enrolling in these courses can increase your knowledge and skills. From the starting of this college till now, college improved in their infrastructure a lot. And it is still in process, that they are trying year to year how to maximize and improve their infrastructure. There are academic blocks, Workshops, Central Library, and many other things available in the institute. A student can live a proper student life and can learn many things here without any hesitation. Campus is also very big containing 5 hostels and 2 grounds. It also contains a utility block; Necessities of a student can be full filled in the campus only.It is situated in the Sitalapali area near the sum hospital Sitalapali. Campus is situated in very large area. It is spread in the area of approximately 80 acres. The class room has seating capacity of 80 to 200 students. Every class room has different capacities. It is well equipped with AC and smart led TV for better demonstration. The college has its own central library, 2 workshops with each and every lab, three to four seminar halls or conference hall. Now talking about the canteen or cafeteria so yes, it has a canteen and a utility block which consists of 6 shops where you can get everything needed for the college and your personal use. Talking about sports it has two sport grounds, one is for kabadi, kho-kho, volleyball, cricket and another one is for NCC shooting range. There is no transport facility of college. You have to see your own medical and transportation. Security is available 24*7 that's all. My favorite place is badminton court and the cafeteria. The badminton courts are inside the hostel.

Placement Experience

4

Yes, we have the best placement cell at our college. According to my knowledge, in placement cell, 5 to 10 teachers are excellent in interview skills. It helps students to prepare for the interviews and train them for a good placement. It ensures each student can get a good placement. It takes the recruiters to placement cell for placement of our students. They encourage students to have faith.

Campus Life

4

The campus life is unforgettable. I got many friends during my college life. I did all the things what I liked. I enjoyed every moment of life. I had the power to think of different things properly. I loved being a part of the college. I liked each moment of my 4-year journey in this institution. I enjoyed everything that is in this college.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes, the college has its own residence for the students but for the 1st year students the seat are limited only 200 seats are there that are provided according to their rank. From the second year everyone will get hostel. Girls and boys hostels are separate. Mess food is quite good and is cooked with proper hygiene. Hostel fee is around Rs. 37,000 annually. The hostel gate closes at 7 pm for 1st year and from 2nd year onwards it is 11pm There are three hostel buildings for boys and two are for girls. The hostel is about 400 meters away from the main academic building. The infrastructure of the resident is so good to have a healthy life style. The boy’s hostel has a big canteen, two common rooms, and about 50 rooms.

Admission

Parala Maharaja Engineering College BERHAMPUR is a very good college for B.Tech in the branch like civil and electrical. I opt for civil because I have a interest in civil engineering. The college has a better infrastructure and better faculty in civil that’s why I chose civil and this college has better infrastructure than other colleges like Indira Gandhi institute of technology Sarang. It is a better place than what I have explored in this four year of my study. The faculties of civil engineering are very good. I opt for civil in this college because of the infrastructure that is better than the other colleges. The admission here is very simple. You have to submit the documents that you had uploaded at the time of counseling. The additional factor is that the aspiring candidate must have passed 12th grade and have appeared in JEE Main exam or OJEE Exam. After this the next process involves applying for counseling of OJEE. The exam dates are frequent and are mentioned in the academic calendar.

Faculty

4

There are more than enough faculty members in every branch especially in civil. Our HOD is the best HOD of the college. He is very friendly. There are good teachers like Mr. Jagadish Mallick Assistant Professor & HOD CE Prof. (Dr.) Chitta Ranjan Mohanty, Professor & Principal, PMEC, Mr. Suresh Chandra Sadangi Assistant Professor (Selection Grade), Mrs. Laren Satpathy Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Mrs. Monika Mohanty Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Ms. Swayam Siddha Dash Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Mr. Duryodhan Behera Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Mrs. Subhasri Panda Assistant Professor, Mr. Nihar Ranjan Behera Guest Faculty, etc these are some names of faculty of my branch there some other faculty are there who are teaching us both from other branches named Mr priyaranjan panda sir, Mr Raghunandan swain sir , mrs Subhashree mam they are asome in teaching and very friendly also .

Night Life

3

We have different clubs like coding, robotics, anchoring, sanskruti, music, dance, etc. All clubs are there to encourage such talents with very much support from our seniors and the respective representative teachers of the college. We have also organized many street events like street dance, street acting, and many more social activities like clearing the environment, moving to nearby village to talk with the villagers and with the students of their small village school. We organize many activities among them also

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.
