Remarks

The campus it fantastic in each and every aspect may it be learning or sports or cultural events. The campus is pretty huge and spacious with students coming from various places throughout the country as well as from the neighbouring countries. It is a mixed experience to study in such a campus and there is an immense scope of learning. The college culture is not too funky which makes this college even more better. The college staff is extremely helpful. The hostel is also clean and disciplined. There are no acts of ragging performed within the campus or even outside the campus.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE. Score-11. Since my AIEEE score was too low to get admission into engineering college. I opted to pursue B.Sc from Fergusson College.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Its an ordinary three years course. The last year has your subject of specilization. There are various activities being organised by the college authorities as well as the respective departments individually.

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship as such. Because the course being B.Sc is not too much of internship based or stipend based. Having said that there are few other institutes that offer internship programmes during vaccations which needs the refrence of our respective subject professor. In that sense the professors are pretty helpful in advising refrence letters to the students.

Placement Experience

2.5

There is no placement as such for courses like B.Sc. But there is certainly good placement for PG courses such as M.Sc. The M.Sc course offers healthy placement to the students.

College Events

4

There are various events being celebrated in the college campus. There are departmental fests that are being organised by the various departments individually along with a common cultural festival named Muktachand. These fests are usually of 3 days.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is government aided as well as non-aided. The aided fess varies from 2.5-3.5 thousand per anum. Whereas the non-aided fees varied from 12-15 thouand.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. I have not availed any scholarship from the college. But there are various scholarships being offered.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio is quite equal. There are a few more girls than boys. The cultural society is always engaged into bringing something new for the students. There is absolutely no discrimination regarding gender, race, religion, nationality and economic standards.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There is hostel facility within the campus premises itself. It has around 300 rooms which is quite much for the students to accomodate. As well as there are numerous PG's in the vicinity of the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

I am not quite aware regaarding the alumni network. The seniors are pretty helpful in every way. Be it studies, sports or any activities. There is no discrimination of seniors to juniors within the campus as well as in the hostel.

Exam Structure

The exams were conducted on semester basis i.e 2 semesters a year. So from the exam point of view it was pretty chilled out but as far as practicals are concerned there were atleast 4 days practicals in a week and the attendence is a must. So it was quite hectic too.

Faculty

4

The faculty is awesome. The teachers are well supportive too. They have immense knowledge about their respective subject and will guide the students accordingly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have been thoroughly impressed with the course curriculum for its relevance and comprehensive approach to both theory and practice. One major aspect that influenced my decision to choose this course was its emphasis on practical application and real-world problem solving. The curriculum integrates current industry trends and case studies, which immediately appealed to me because it offers not only theoretical knowledge but also valuable hands-on experiences. The structure of the curriculum prepares students well for real-world applications and further academic pursuits. For instance, the course modules are designed to build a strong foundational understanding while progressively introducing complex topics. This approach ensures that students are capable of tackling challenging scenarios in professional settings and are well-prepared for advanced research or academic opportunities. The practical assignments, group projects, and internships provide direct exposure to industry practices and enable us to apply what we learn in a realistic context. Despite these strengths, there is always room for improvement. The course curriculum could further benefit from increased interactive teaching methods, such as more frequent workshops and peer-to-peer learning sessions. Incorporating regular seminars by industry experts would also add practical insights. Additionally, the frequency and timing of exams sometimes feel overwhelming. Although the exam difficulty level is fair and encourages a deep understanding of the material, scheduling them away from major project deadlines could alleviate some unnecessary stress. Overall, I find the curriculum to be robust and well-rounded. With a few adjustments in teaching methods and assessment schedules, it has the potential to become even more effective in preparing students for both professional challenges and advanced academic endeavors. In summary, the course curriculum excels in providing a balanced educational.
