Course Curriculum Overview
1. As my goal was preparing for a competitive exam, Political Science has always been my first choice 2. The curriculum was designed in such a way, including courses that require methodical thinking and brainstorming assignments. 3. Apart from the specialisation subject other general subject needs a relook into the relevance of its curriculum. 4. The teaching faculty is not competent. While some are there for teaching while others are there for just their paycheck. 5. The exams were held timely.
Internships Opportunities
My Course did not had internship oppurtunities that much but it provided us with certicate courses and research oppurtunities in many different subjects like Women and Gender studies, International relations, parliamentary proceedings, etc. Students belonging to Science background are exposed to better internship oppurtunities.

Campus Life
1. Fergusson College is famous for its annual festival named "SPANDAN" that is held every year in approx in the month of Dec-Jan. it includes the departmental fest too. The festival is for 5 days approximately. 2. There are a huge number of books available in BAI JERBAI LIBRARY of FC. Although it needs to add new journals. 3. The technological provisions of the classrooms are fine, but the facilities and infrastructure is very old. 4. Students Run groups like NSS ( National Student Scheme), SAATHI(an Organization helping specially abled students of college) are a huge impact on the personality development of a student.
Admission
1. I secured more than enough percentage to get the college of my liking, Fergusson College was always my first choice, although I had applied for other colleges such as Modern College, MIT University, etc. I chose FC due to its reputation and future prospects. 2.No, I was not rejected. 3. The admission is not that hard . You get the admission in the Undergraduate courses on the basis of your percentage in 12th class. The cutoff is high for general category that requires you to score for 94% and above , whereas it is bit relaxed for special category that needs 85% and above.
Faculty
1. The faculty to student ratio is very low. A single teacher is assigned to 200 students per class with at least 3 classes. The faculty-student relationship during my time was cordial 2. I personally like the history faculty, especially Chandaas sir, as he was very innovative in his teaching techniques. 3. I personally was not very fond of my specialisation teachers of political science as they would often overburden us with work that could be avoided. 4. There were 6 sem in total with a moderate level of difficulty. Only a few students would fail but would eventually pass in the next sem. 5. The relevance of curriculum was high. It was designed with details
Interview Experience
There was no GD or interview for the admission. It happened on the basis of merit list of the students who applied for the college on the basis of thier 12th percentage. However their were 2-3 round table list which allowed for their management quota to be filled.
Night Life
1. The official college gets over till 5pm but the media cafetria and Anna cafe is always bustling with happy faces , music and chattering students and faculty. 2. The girls hostel has an intime of 8:30 pm while the in time for boys hostel is 10 pm 3. The campus is quite big, so there are many hangout places like the cafeterias , the bank, the hill behind the college. The locality is safe to roam around at night but the guards wont let you stay on campus after 8pm.
