It depends on the individual how they are adapting the culture in vit. Both the academics and personal choices are left to the students. The campus is quite big to have a pleasant life. The town around vit also provided with a huge circle of food chains and movie theatres which gives students memorable college life.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum will be fair enough to crack your interviews. It's up to you whether you grad the chance to learn practical stuff thorough out the graduation period. No one will force you to learn a specific subject. It's up to your dream how much you can learn.
Placement Experience
Placements are just out of the words in vit. You can target your dream company but once you get selected in one dream you cannot attend other dream companies. So be wise to register for what companies you want to attend and where you see your future. VIT provides internships in various companies.
College Events
Technical fest called gravitas which challenges your various talents. Cultural fest called Rivera which is 4 days long with fun events and pro shows of celebrities and singer and followed by DJ
Fee Structure And Facilities
The academic fee structure is the same for everyone who is in 4 years course. The one which is in 5 years ms course is quite less than compared to BTech courses And the hostel fees depend on the room and the mess you select. Room available is also counseling basis at the end of the year based on your ranking. Single, double, 4, 6 bedded rooms Special, the north, south mess will be available. the fee will be varying based on the room and mess you select for that semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
No loan knowledge I have since I am not aware of it. But there are scholarships available for students who came in from Tamilnadu board exams in 12th standard which is called merit allocation.
Campus Life
Semester wise sports and tournaments are conducted. They have a college sports team for each sport. The most focused sport is cricket, volleyball, and basketball. Boys hostel has good facilities with a big outdoor stadium.
Hostel Facilities
Ac, non AC Single, double, 4 and 6 are available. You will be provided with a free sports area. If you want to play indoor games like tennis swimming or squash you need to pay a semester-wise fee. The mess is also the same which you can change whenever you want in the online portal.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes. Alumni network and seniors help us with project works and in choosing faculties during class registration since it is slot based registration. Used to get information about faculties to book classes which happens usually in semester holidays
Admission
I have attended the merit exam when I was in 12th grade in Andhra Pradesh. Since vit counseling is In the initial months when compared to other colleges. I have attended counseling to get a CSE branch, but I got the IT branch in Vellore.
Faculty
Faculty are quite professional, attendance is strict to attend the exams. you can meet the faculty in their allotted cabins after classes if you have any doubts to get cleared. they will be there if you want to go beyond the curriculum and explore the subject further.
