As it is a national institute, the administrative section and the security section is in very bad terms with students. Securities bend rules according to their wish and the administration never stay with the students side.

Curriculam is well structured and revised frequently. Exam structure is mainly practical and jury. Written exams are very rare. Institution focus more mainly on the practical knowledge and apllication of the works. Classes are highly interactive and innovative.

There are placement weeks held in the NIFT institutions such as mumbai,delhi,and banglore etc. Campus placement didnt occur in NIFT kannur. Internships are mandatory and is done in the 3rd and 4th year.

Nation wide event named as converge takes place in every year around december. All NIFT centers across India will be participating for this event. There is also another event known as spectrum which takes place in the month of February or March. This event is an inter department fest and Converge is an inter college fest.

Fees structure is considered to be expensive. For the total of four years there need to be a total of 10-11 lakh rupees in term of fees. There are scholarships and merits for the economically backward students from the college. Most students acquires this facility.

I opted for an educational loan. Because the fee is too high for a normal middle class family to meet.

Campus life is from 8am to 8pm, monday to saturday. No restrictions in students life. Students are given atmost freedom in the campus. Gender ratio is around 70% being girls and 30% being boys. Sports and lab activites are promoted well.Extra curricular activities are being conducted by 4 clubs and the 4 clubs come under the supervision of SDAC.

No i did not choose for hostel. I am a day scholar. My house is nearby to the college. I commute daily to the college in my bike. There is no hostel facility for boys in my college. Hostel is only there for girls.

The seniors are the backbone for most of the students. They help in channeling our path and focusing on one specialisation.

Wrote 2 sets of exams which usually occur in the month of jan. CAT and GAT. Selected students need to appear for the studio test in the month of April or May. By evaluating both the marks a total rank list will be published. Admission on the basis of the rank.

Faculties are having a very good bond between them and students. Any campus related activity are being initiated by them at first. Classes are held properly and regulated well. Most of the lecturs are having an experiance of more than 5+ years at least.
