Remarks

Management is quite effective and good. Campus is beautifully managed and the connective pathways and kept in good shape.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

To be quite honest the syllabus is relavent and fair but a tiny bit outdated, useful nonetheless. Industrial or site visits are also conducted whenever possible but almost always within the town. In the end a sincere student will always find something new to learn. As for the exam, mid semester exams are conducted during the middle of the academic semester follewed by the end semester exams, other tests and assessments happen thouroughout the semester.

Placement Experience

4

On campus placements are good with highest packadges being offered in the upper 30lakhs range. Internships are also plentiful, I have personally applied for an internship in a couple of firms but am awaiting the result.

College Events

5

There are mainly 3 fests or events organised in my college : Hillffair (cultural fest) 5000 attendees Nimbus (technical fest) 4000 attendees Lalkaar (sports fest) 1500 attendees Being located in a remote region of the country, the numbers are not as big as some of the other colleges but the quality of work displayed is next to none.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college is a bit on the expensive side for a government college(for general category students). Academic fees can be either paid by a demand draft or thourough sbi collect from any bank account while hostel fees can be paid thourough sbi collect from an sbi-only account or thourough demand drafts.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any such help, but the state government provides ample opportunities for deserving candidates, from weak economic backgrounds.

Campus Life

5

I will say the female to male ratio must be about one to four. In my specific department it is about one to two. The extracurricular activities are quite competitive and fun. The students are quite diverse, from each and every part of the country and even abroad.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Yes. For the first 3 years of the degree the rooms are alloted on a triple sharing basis. While 4th year students are allotted single occupancy rooms. The rooms are spacious and clean. Only the old hostels have LAN facility while the newer hostels have wifi capped at 1 GB per day per student.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a good network of alumni and senior students. Successful alumni are regularly invited to the college for guest lectures and enterpreneurship workshops

Admission

For undergraduate programmes, you have to take the national level JEE mains exam if you qualify you have to select the course and college from the list and place it according to the order of preference. The algorithm will decide what college and course you get.

Faculty

4

The faculty is extremely helpful and being a government institution, they hold valuable expertise in different aspects of designing. Most of the faculty is either pursuing doctorate or already is doctorate holders with hands on industry experience. There must be atlest 15 teaching staff in my department with their ages averaging about 30 to 40.

Also india is in its intial stages to accept architecture.that's one of reason for less placement anywhere..be it here or any other college

Placements in architecture are not mind blowing in India as it needs passion. Good companies like Walmart visits for campus placements Around 70% students are placed with an average package of 400000 and highest package of 600000 I will go for a master's degree in abroad maybe

College placements are good, about 70 to 80 percent of students get placed every year and many students also do internships in their 2nd or 3rd year. The faculty also invites companies for placements of students.

Collge is good. Only few NITS can meet its level in infrastructure and studies and in placement. New IITs are even not as good as this college. Its a silver jubilee college and has maintained its level of greatness since then.
