Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose architecture due to its real world applications in reality including practical knowledge of buildings Architecture requires good observation skills including good execution Architecture should be taught more practically it's not a subject to be taught in class itself and the department lacks knowledge trips outside the campus like site seeing

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship opportunities are provided in the fourth year for my course as it is a five years course while other b. tech students get internship opportunities in the fourth year itself as it is of four years.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements in architecture are not mind blowing in India as it needs passion. Good companies like Walmart visits for campus placements Around 70% students are placed with an average package of 400000 and highest package of 600000 I will go for a master's degree in abroad maybe

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

In b arch course,I have paid around 95,000 course fees including 40,000(mess and hostel fees).total number of students in our class is 54. Scholarships are provided to students having good cgpa in first year.

Campus Life

3.5

Annual fest named hillfair is held around in October before Diwali.the whole fest is a different vibe with lots of celebrities visiting the campus.it goes on for 2 days Technical fest nimbus is also huge but it focuses mainly on tech oriented stuff while hillfair is a cultural fest

Hostel Facilities

3

I reside in a 4 seater room.there are even 7 seater rooms for first year girls Meal quality is good But the hostel lacks water facilities which is a whole different issue with bad water quality Attendants are very strict even though it's not needed that much

Admission

I think I would have got admissions in nit Raipur, nit Patna but I chose this college due to its nice campus and it was near to my campus placements are similar but still varies 12th passed students with an overall percentage of 75% can give jee paper 2 exam and secure admission in this college with a good percentile

Faculty

3.5

I would say The faculty to student relationship is okay not extremely friendly or extremely bad but there are a lot of restrictions for the students even though we are in college. I would say architectural design, disaster management, building construction materials Faculty is good But the faculty lack coordination everyone tells different about some things

Course Curriculum Overview:

This 5year course in Architecture is very difficult as compared to other branches like B.Tech. The curriculum is not that much valuable as compared to other architecture colleges. Here a lot of unnecessary burden is created on students just for the faculty sake.

College placements are good, about 70 to 80 percent of students get placed every year and many students also do internships in their 2nd or 3rd year. The faculty also invites companies for placements of students.

Collge is good. Only few NITS can meet its level in infrastructure and studies and in placement. New IITs are even not as good as this college. Its a silver jubilee college and has maintained its level of greatness since then.
