There's nothing really bad about the college to pinpoint about. Everything has highs and lows and it depends on the person what they choose to see.

The course curriculum is alright. Each semester there are about 7 subjects including 2 practicals and 5 theories. There are also extra curriculums conducted by the college related to every course. Exams include several internal assessments and of course the boards.

The placement is alright. Several big companies visit the college every year for recruiting students and the college also provides detailed information about various job opportunities.

One thing that I must mention about GNIT is its extracurricular activities. Starting from freshers, different types of fests, seminars, webinars, workshops, even sports and performing arts events, you name it GNIT has it all. Several clubs regarding such events are available and it's a great opportunity for socialising.

The fees can be feasible or expensive based on the choice of course but it is comparatively inexpensive than other well-known colleges out there in Kolkata. Scholarships are available. But when it comes to the quality of service and education provided the money is worth it.

The college has scholarship opportunities for a girl child and also caste-based scholarships. One can avail scholarships like Kanyashree and more. The college has all the pieces of information listed on their official website.

The campus life is very safe and fun. The college has a strict anti-ragging policy and checks for any kind of ragging from time to time to ensure a hassle-free campus life. The people are social, full of spirit and open-minded in most cases. Socialising is done through various events like fests, workshops and so on.

When I first joined the college the seniors of our department were kind enough to exchange words of wisdom with us making us feel like home. Time to time alumni of the college would come and present lectures and seminars to give us insight about the work field and more.

While I was researching about my course I came to find out GNIT is one of the few colleges offering BHM. I contacted the admission cell to get adequate information about the course before committing. The faculty helped me a lot through all the steps of admission and made the process hassle-free.

In BHM there are about 20 to 23 academic sessions including lectures, theories, seminars and other matters. Of course, not one lecture may take several classes and also extra classes are given to the students who need extra help. The professors are highly experienced be it educationally, practically or even as a mentor.
