Remarks

The college is pretty good at academics, extracurriculars, sports, cultures, and ticks off all the boxes. The only negative might be that the working hours are more for a student here than compared to any other college, which is not great because students require their own time to assess their progress and develop skills that are out of the curriculum.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is pretty old but our college has branch association and innovation garage which keeps us up to date with all the recent technologies and gets us familiar with them. The coursework to be honest is really hectic and some courses are pretty unnecessary but have to be done. The exams are taken throughout the semester and hence there is sort of continuous evaluation in the form of minors mids and ends.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement and internship opportunities are pretty solid in the college and many companies from varied technical and management backgrounds come in the college for hire. With a good history and solid performances in the placement scenario, there is not much of an issue in this sector. The MTech and master's students are provided a certain stipend for their expenses for which in turn they become the teaching assistant.

College Events

4.5

The college has two fests as the spring spree which is the art and culture fest and the technozion which is the technical fest. Apart from these several hackathons and fests like youth fest and makeathon which is a 24-hour hackathon where. You have to make and pitch your startup ideas which can be both hardware as well as software. Apart from this several religious festivals are celebrated with full enthusiasm, without any discrimination.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is extremely economical and due to easy availability of the loans makes the economic factor of the course compared to the outcome null. We have to pay 132500 as academic fees and 56500 as the hostel and mess fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

After every odd semester the college releases a cutoff sgpa, if one is above that specified cutoff he /she can apply for the scholarship which reimburses their complete academic fees. Student loans are easily available from the banks near the college.

Campus Life

4

Sports and extracurricular activities are highly encouraged in the college. All the facilities for different sports are provided which are in great condition and many clubs are present for different extracurricular activities. There are many workshops conducted on technical as well as non-technical concepts. The gender ratio is inclined more towards boys. There is diversity in the students and no kind of racism and violence is encouraged. Students from all cultures and economic backgrounds study peacefully and with unity.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostels are one of the biggest in Asia and infrastructure for playing entertainment has been provided in the hostels themselves. The rooms are spacious and for the first year, we have to stay with a roommate.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors and alumni are extremely friendly and helpful. The college has an active and wide alumni network. The college had been established in 1960, therefore there is an extremely huge range of alumni present.

Admission

Students who have given the jee main exam have to clear the cutoff to attain the course that they desire, this cutoff is given by josaa, after this process, one has to come to the college for the registration and the counseling process after which he/she get their admission. I had chosen electronic and electrical engineering because of my desire to learn electronics in deep.

Faculty

4

The academic and the teaching section of our college is solid, understanding, thorough, experienced, and know their shit. They are great and have a complete understanding of their courses. The college has good quality as well as a great quantity of faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
