Remarks

The overall experience is not too nice. By the end of third year you'll be wanting for the college to end soon. The academics part is not that good, they focus more on the theoretical knowledge instead of practical knowledge. And the attendance mark should be removed.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Course curriculum is nicely designed but not nicely taught in a manner needed. Thinking of the research the curriculum is not that good. The day is not too hectic not too chilled due to the attendance criteria.

Placement Experience

3

100s of companies comes in an year. Avg package is around 8-9 lakh. Firstly the circuital branches get placed and then the non circuital. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, DE Shaw, Tata Steel, Microsoft etc.

College Events

3

Cultural - Bitotsav Technical - Pantheon Bitotsav is a 4 day long cultural fest with a lot of artists nights and student from all over east india. Pantheon is a smaller festival in comparison to Bitotsav. Vajra is the sports festival.

Fee Structure And Facilities

15 lakhs for a Bachelor of Engineering degree The fee structure includes around 125000 per semester and 30000 RS for mess fee. The fees vary each semester going to be expensive till the end. The quality of education as compared to the fees is quite low.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are many scholarships for reserved class but for general class there is only one GP Birla scholarship based on the semester GPA. Loans are available at banks as the college comes at tier 2 level so getting a loan us easy.

Campus Life

3

General ratio is 1 girl to 10 boys. College has 13 clubs which organise various kind of activities thouroughout the semester. There are concepts of freshers party, farewell parties, placement parties. The college has more of state students.

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors are really nice. They are the only way from whom you can learn. Alumni experience is quite rich and supportive. There is no ragging culture because of which a nice bonding is there between seniors and juniors.

Admission

I got admitted in this college thourough JEE mains exam. I came as a student in production engineering then upgraded to electrical And electronics engineering after an year thourough internal sliding based on cgpa of the first two semesters.

Faculty

1

Maximum faculty is not that much qualified. They are more of conservative nature. They have no experience in industry. They are using old methodology which is of no use to us when go and work in industry. And they focus more on theoretical knowledge instead of practical knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. Luckily we are less in numbers and therefore 90% students from our batch were placed from here. My plans after getting the degree is to pursue masters from US.
