Remarks

The facilities were great in terms of their qualifications but their interest toward us never existed. Attending college was merely a necessity in order to keep the attendance regular. Batchmates were a positive aspect of our college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course Structure is absolutely based upon theory and assessment based upon them. No practical approach has been made yet. The exams and their preparations were bit stressful, often leaving us in a shocking state and placing our mind in a paralytic state.

Placement Experience

2.5

There were no job opportunities or placements made then. Since I have not done post-graduation hence this segment is alien to my experience. However, we had to rely upon our certificates and presentability in interviews.

College Events

3

Welcoming of Freshers Annual Festival Saraswati Puja Annual Cultural Evening These above-mentioned events usually witnessed attendance of approximately 400 students. Apart from these events no other events were organised in our college, then.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees were feasible. Since the college was run by Government of West Bengal there was no monthly fees structure. Annual fees of 3000 - 3500 were required to pay. And additional 650 - 750 were supposed to be paid as examination fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facilities or scholarships were not arranged by our college. However, banks do sanction loans for educational purposes. But, since our college had minimal fees, which did not come under the loan bracket of the banks, the students paid for themselves.

Campus Life

3

Gender ratio in our college was roughly 75:25 where the former number is represented by the males. Dorm parties were never a part of our college, then. There weren't any workshops arranged for us. The diversity was confined to the state. People from other religions were part of the batches. Sexual orientation was mostly straight apparently. There was a disparity in the economic status. Since our college is located in the area of Chief Minister's residence, we had political turmoil often. There were several instances when the police department had to intervene with their special forces.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network was mostly political hence their approach were always directed toward political activities. The seniors were rarely helpful. Most of the help we used to get from our batch mates. The absence of seniors would have had a positive impact, but the college officials never took a step to instruct the graduated students to vacate the premises.

Admission

Got selected thourough the merit list. And then selected graduation in commerce as I was studying commerce related subjects in previous standards. After selecting the course I opted for Honours in Accounting as it was my stronger aspect in the commerce stream.

Faculty

3

The faculties were qualified but they not all of them were interested in teaching the students. Most of the queries were not addressed and they didn't even bother to clarify them or even acknowledge in the first place. We had to rely upon private tuitions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average
