Remarks
The facilities should be developed as soon as possible as the equipments are getting older day by day. The campus is very clean and healthy. The securities are quite strict which is good. Renovation of the college should be done so that the college can go way up.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's not even been a year since I joined but the course is pretty good. The staffs and teaching skills are way too good. The equipments for the practicals are not that good. The college is affiliated to BATU University so it's semi - autonomous. The assignments, projects and surveys are taken up in a very good manner where one can get lots of experience and knowledge. The college purely focuses on grooming the students to a bright future. So, it does not encourage extra co curricular activities which is a negative point from my point of view. The placements done by the college is quite good as over the past years, more than 100 students have got the placements in lots of fields. Most of the students were from Computer Science branch. The college also organizes industrial visits, power plants, etc. Overall, this can help me out to groom my future.
Placement Experience
The placement of the college is quite good as there are many companies linked with my college especially in the field of computer science. Companies like IBM, Twitter, Redhat, Tata, Wipro etc. have so visited our campus for placement drives and students have got into these companies. The institution takes proper and special steps to prepare the students for the placements and internships.
College Events
The college organizes Techno Blitz, an event for first year students in our city, which is joined by other colleges. Here, events like Bridge making, E-ladder, Brain Storming, etc. are organised for the students. The college does not focus on cultural events. The college also organizes Robocon and other events for the Mechanical Branch. Workshops are organised by the Redhat for the students to work on computers. The events are quite big and almost all the students are engaged with these events.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite expensive. But there is some concession for the students who get into to college through entrance exams and other exams such as JEE. There is no such additional fees or charges that is to be paid in order to secure admission in my course. The college provides transparency in the fee break down. The students belonging to ST, SC and other OBCs get some concession in their fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offers scholarship opportunities for students belonging to STs, SCs and OBCs. The eligibility criteria was that one should be a citizen of India, must have passed class 12 with 60+ percent. The average sum of the scholarship was 30,000.
Campus Life
The gender ratio would be about 100:90. Since the college does not focus much on extra curricular activities, the students are not engaged with things such as competitions other than the topics related to their course. People from North East and Bhutan also come to this college. There is no ragging but racism still exists. The students respect the religions of one another. Sports are encouraged and the college even takes part in the inter college tournaments in the national level.
Hostel Facilities
Yes. The hostel has different kinds of rooms: Two beds, three beds, dormitories. There are also different rooms based on the prices : Normal, Semi-deluxe and Deluxe. The mess is quite bad as compared to the amount of fees paid. The electricity is good as it provides 24 hours power supply along with 24 hours water supply. The PGs are quite costly. For 2 BHK, they charge 10000 and 3 BHK 14000.
Alumni/Alumna
The seniors are quite good as they share lots of past experiences including the good and the bad ones and tell us to improve in the areas which we lack and then study using smart techniques. The alumni network is very cooperative and helpful.
Admission
I got into this college through JEE. My state Government helped me out in getting this college based on marks scored in JEE and class 12. I took the admission on August 12th, 2020. It's a dream for me to be a Civil Engineer as our state is underdeveloped. So, I want to make my state better by developing the undeveloped things.
Faculty
There are about 12 lecturers in my course. The average age would be around 30. Most of them have completed their M. Tech while some of them have completed their Diploma course. Two of them have completed Ph.D. Four of the teachers have worked in industries with an average of two years experience. The teaching skills and techniques are way too good which enables the students to grasp the topic and carry out the rest of the parts by themselves. The study materials are also provided by the teachers from different sources which are quite helpful during the exams to score more marks.
