Remarks

Every college has some positive and negative aspects. In my college most problems that we faced were with the infrastructure to be precise the lifts. Our classroom was on 8th floor and most of the time one lift was not working and there was a choas

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Subjects of First year were common to all irrespective of the stream they were admitted. From second year onwards students were divided into different streams. On an average there was 6 written and oral exams per semester

Placement Experience

3

College doesn't provide internship till 2013 after that I am not aware of. As far as placements are concerned for the year 2013 they were quite low but for my seniors and juniors I can say healthy number of companies have came to hire students

College Events

3.5

There were many events that used to be organised by various communities but the major one was triffles that used to occur in the month of January and as it was inter college festival we used to get opportunity to interact with other college students as well

Fee Structure And Facilities

It was feasible compared to fees students are paying now. On an average the fees for normal student was around 70 thousand per year and I guess due to some change in structure by Mumbai University we have to pay 10000 extra in last year

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opted for any scholarships but there were few that were given to minority students if they secured good percentage. I can recall people directly joining 2nf year from diploma were given some.

Campus Life

4

Labs were all up to date with all the latest equipment required and lab assistance were helpful in providing whatever was required. Desktop were also installed with latest Microsoft OS available at that time

Hostel Facilities

3

No hostel facility was provided by the college. Students coming from out of Mumbai have to see their living by themselves and as college is in Bandra they use to face lot of problem because of posh locality

Alumni/Alumna

Senior were helpful in understanding all the things required and that was mandatory in the process and didn't got any chance to interact with super senior or any other. Seniors helped in placements process as well.

Admission

All the required documents were submitted and there was a date given where all the students were called on merit based and on that date itself admission were given if present and then the demand draft of the asked amount need to be submitted

Faculty

4

All the faculty teaching us were minimum BE qualified and maximum as far as I can recall were PhD in their respective field of interests. Most of the teachers were helpful in making students understand the importance of subject and how it will be helpful for us in the near future

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
