Remarks

I don't have any particular negative remark about my college that I would like to point out. There can be small negatives but in my opinion every college has those and when compared with the positives, I don't mind the negatives much.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is pretty specific towards studying the main parts of law while also touching upon the not so important parts of law. The course curriculum is divided equally between 5 years and each year having 2 semesters. The course structure is simple as well as effective. We don't have practicals in our course curriculum. So no labs and the exams are not that hectic to deal with.

Placement Experience

4.5

In my specific course, placements start coming from the 9th semester onwards till the end of 10th semester. My college each year maintains a healthy number of placement opportunities for the students. The track record for placements done are also quite well. Wadia Gandhy & Co, ICCI Bank, Khaitan & Co are some of the companies who come for placements to my college nearly every year. The package being offered go as high as 14 LPA(lakh per annum) while the average package is around 4 LPA(lakh per annum).

College Events

5

In my college, we celebrate festivals like holi, diwali, chhath puja, ganesh puja, saraswati puja etc with great joy and pomp. Festivals like ganesh puja and saraswati puja are celebrated in a grand manner. There in normally a DJ night in every festival for the students to enjoy. Students residing in hostels as well as day boarders participate in great manner in these festivals. There are also some annual Management festivals like KIIT foundation day which also holds great importance. The most important of all these events is the KIIT Fest. Every year, during the first or second week of december, KIIT Fest is conducted. This is the biggest event of our college and during these 3 days, you can massive crowd all around the college. There remains a itinerary for each day with Bollywood stars coming on each of the 3 days. Events and competitions are held during the morning hours while the evening part is reserved for things like cultural night, fashion show. The evening part is the most interesting because Bollywood artists have their performances during these hours. Some of the Bollywood artists who have previously performed in KIIT Fest are Amit Trivedi, Ritviz, Lost Stories, Ash King, DJ Shaan, Arman Malik.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is divided and payable in semesters. The present fee structure is as follows for each semester(6 months):- Tuition fees- 148000 Hostel fees- 27000 Mess fees- 17500 Registration fees-1000 The total amount payable by each student who opts for Hostel and mess is 1, 93, 500 for each semester. So, for my course which is of 5 years, I have to pay nearly 20 lakhs. In my opinion this is expensive but considering the quality of education and boarding offered by the college, I guess this is acceptable.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers for scholarships for the students who secure top 10 ranks in the KIITEE entrance exam. The scholarship amount is Rs60000. The college also offers scholarship amount of Rs60000 to the students who secure the 1st position in semester exams in their respective courses and sections. These scholarships are given for each semester.

Campus Life

5

Gender ratio is quite equal in my opinion. There are sports facilities in every campus like Basketball court, Badminton court, Swimming pool, Gym, Table Tennis, Football, Cricket. There are a number of societies in the college which can be joined by each student. They have their own annual recruitment drives in which students have to apply. There have been no cases of discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, at least to my knowledge.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

My college offers hostels with or without AC rooms. The AC rooms are charged nearly double the amount of non AC rooms. Nearly all the rooms are 2 sharing and only a few rooms are 3 sharing. The hostel rooms are cleaned daily by the attendants. The hostel infrastructure is also quite modern and well maintained. There is biometric attendance for students in hostels also. There is 24*7 electricity, water and WiFi facility available in hostels. Ambulances can also be called directly to the hostels in case of emergency.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the alumni network is always keen in helping the current students by guiding them in their internships and also in the courses. The senior students are very friendly in behaviour and help the juniors when they are in need.

Admission

I got admission into this college by appearing for the entrance exam called "KIITEE". This is the college's own entrance exam which one has to appear and qualify for getting admission into this college. I specifically chose the course "BBA LLB" over others because I have a strong affinity towards business studies. The other options that I had were "BA LLB" and "BSc LLB".

Faculty

4

The faculty is well qualified and versed in their respective subjects. They also take a keen interest in teaching their students well and also clarifying the students' doubts. There are 2 teachers for each subject normally but exceptions are there where only 1 teacher teaches the entire subject. There are adequate number of faculties to cater to the students' needs and some of the faculties are given the role of mentors. In the role of mentor, a small of group of students are assigned a mentor, who shall address to their problems on a local level.
