Remarks

The college is beautiful and has taken lots of efforts to help us stand where we are today. It has provided us all the facilities which are needed in our day to day life. It's clean and maintained very neatly.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is a pattern formed by Pune University. It is a more theorotical approach rather than the practical approach which would help student develop into an effective company required skilled employees of the future.

Placement Experience

Few companies had come in our college with the maximum being start ups. Efforts are taken to give internships to the students but not many have got them. The packages offered by the company are not very encouraging.

College Events

Our college hosts an annual event called as Eternity which happens mostly in Feb every year. It consist of various days like Traditional day, Rose day, etc along with sports, gathering and many other events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Depending upon the caste you have to pay almost 90000 if you are from open category, 50000 if from OBC and less than 5000 if you are from SC/ST. This for open students it is a bit expensive still less as compared to other colleges

Fees and Financial Aid

Depending upon your academic score and your annual salary you are given a scholarship. You have to keep performing in order to avail this offer which challenges you to work harder for your future examination.

Campus Life

Workshops are in a very good condition with all necessary equipments provided to the students. Labs are neat and tidy and have all the necessary requirements fulfilled. We have cricket, football, basketball, tennis in our college

Hostel Facilities

No I am a localite and thus I have not opted for an hostel service. I don't know about the fees structure but the facilities provided are average by standards. Rules are very strict which is a good thing.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful and arrange various events which help the Juniors adapt to the challenges they are going to encounter in the upcoming future. They are very friendly and ready to help us in whatever needed.

Admission

I gave an Entrance Exam called MH-CET which is a common entrance exam after 12th all over Maharashtra. It is an MCQ exam but has no negative marking. It consist of Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Depending on the score you are allocated a college

Our faculty take efforts to make student get to their goals. Whenever in doubt we are free to approach our teachers and clear our doubts without any hesitation. They help us in all extra curricular activities.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. My experience of iiit pune

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements once they enter 3rd year of college. Some notable companies that visit the campus is nomura, walmart, amazon, nvidia and they take 5-6 candidates each while nomura takes 15-16 per year. The highest on campus is 43 lakhs while off campus is around 1.4cr. average package is 14-15 lpa mostly for swe roles. Percentage student getting placed is 50% oncampus and if we add off campus the number goes to 80%. I plan to work in the industry for 2-3 years and then try to go for masters.

After giving Gcet ( Goa common entrance test) I applied in 2 collages from which my admission was confirmed for bsc in st . Xavier's College in mapusa Goa. I was unable to get in engeneering collage in goa due to less score in Gcet . All in all the college is average in terms of academics. But in the terms of sports, campus life, hostel quality sanitation it fares very well. Academics in the entc department is very encouraging and helpfuland induatry centered. They even have an incubation cell and entrepreneurship cell for the industry intercation with the students but is limited only to entc and comp. The admin department is very poor. The admin department has no value for the students time and seems to accomplish tasks at its own convinience. So the admin department doea not have my vote.
