Overall , a good experience with Dy Patil SOET

My decision to choose the computer science was different. I always wanted to be a cyber security analyst. When I got admission for computer science first two years there were normal subjects like mathematics, chemistry, physics ,DBMS , DSA etc . After that our curriculum got changed due to lack in placement and then they added some industry relevant subject such as AI , IOT , cloud computing , cybersecurity, data science etc . these new subject are todays need in technical fields and industries. So it helps a lot to survive in technical fields. When we talk about exam they give plenty of time to prepare and learn concepts and study for the exams .

There were some companies which offered intership as well as jobs for student during final academic year . Intership such as marketing , software development, Java , nod.js , web development and many more were provided to students . I didn't got any internship from the collage I did it myself from outside . I did my internship in the field of web development.

When we talk about tution fees it's 1,35,000 yearly . 70% fees must be cleared before the first half of academic year. Library access and other facilities are included in it . Exam fees are taken seperately which is about 1000 twice for semester exam's. For 4 years of my degree I have paid 5,40,000 as tution fees . There are some scholarship which are given based on caste and financial condition of student . There is no such seperate fee for lab or any other services .

My experience with this campus is excellent and I have made many memories with this collage . There are many fastival which are celebrated in campus by collage . Such as annual day and sports week , chhatrapati shivaji maharaj jayanti, ram navami , navratri with many compilation and events such as bollywood, traditional, retro, mismatch days every year . Also national days like 15 August and 26 January are celebrated with great joy .when we talk about infrastructure this collage have a good and modern infrastructure. Classrooms are integrated with modern technology, desk , projectors,AC, white boards . Collage have modern computer labs and and library is easily accessible with huge numbers of books for free . There are many extra curricular activities like workshop, events , project days which are hosted by the collage nurturing the talent and developing confidence of the student by the collage .

Collage hostel provide free wifi , water , electricity and security. Hostel charge is 60000 yearly which is quite affordable for middle class. I recommend collage hostel rather then outside pg . Outside PGs are cheaper then collage hostel but they don't provide much facilities as well as security is concerned. Food quality is very good there are plenty of restaurants and collage canteen also provide good quality meal . One can get Maharashtrian, north indian as well as Chinese food with affordable prices. Registration process for hostel is done during admission process where we need to select if we want hostel or not. hostel charge must be paid one time for the year . They don't accept installment.

After giving Gcet ( Goa common entrance test) I applied in 2 collages from which my admission was confirmed for bsc in st . Xavier's College in mapusa Goa. I was unable to get in engeneering collage in goa due to less score in Gcet . After giving JEE mains I applied in Dr dy Patil University for btech computer science and got selected for the course. since my relatives stays in nearby are I got some information about collage which made me choose this collage . During admission they made me submit my necessary documents and then followed by face to face online interview asking some questions about my secondary and hssc education and family background and after 2 days I recieved my admission confirmation letter by the admission department of collage.

Faculty students ratio of the collage is not good . Still they have some good teacher who help and try to support students which are weak . Teachers like Sophia ma'm , priyadarshini ma'am and deepali ma'am and mr.mankar sir are excellent teachers as well as guardians. All teachers are good but this squad always my favourite. When we talk about exam for one semester there is one unit test , one mid sem exam and then end sem exam . Difficulty of exam is moderate and one need to score 50% of marks to clear the subject.so approximately 20% students fails in exam . Course curriculum is industry based and helps a lot in real world .

There was no group discussion or test for admission. They simply took a face to face online interview asking about basic questions about my interest, basic knowledge about subject my personal details , previous academic details including secondary, higher secondary school and scores . Hobbies and reason for choosing the collage and my field to interest.it was easy to answer questions and I didn't prepared for interview. I just answered what they asked and recieved admission letter after 2 days .

Since this collage is out from city area on Pune there are less facilities such as gym, clubs near collage . There are plenty of cafeterias and restaurant though collage hostel close its door at 9:30 pm.collage hostel is enabled with fingerprint sensor for attendance which helps to keep eye on students and ensure that no outsider must be taken inside hostel . There is no security issue inside the campus as campus is integrated with CCTV at every corner to keep eye on students activities also there will be 6-10 security guard in campus during night time . If you want to avoid collage hostels there are many hostels outside the collage . It's safe to roam in day as well as night. Also there are places like lonavla , khandala , Sinhgad and other forts as well as dagadu sheth halwai ganpati mandir and many other hangout places are there nearby. And transport is also available.
