Remarks

Strict checking of answer sheets of the exams and if you are a ca students then its very common that your exams can clash with your ca exams.and positive remark is that it gives you ample chances to make bonds on your own.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Actually there is alot of difference between B.Com and B.Com(Honours) of Sol. Being a ca student i always had a perk over the subjects i used to study for exams.the college conducted classes but it was not mandatory.everything was very chilled out.Though economics both micro and macro are really the tough ones.i got back in mathematics during the first year of the college.

Placement Experience

1

No the college dsn't provide internships.job opportunities after my course was there from the college but the profile was business development executive mostly where i was not at all interested. However companies like bajaj surya deloitte kpmg comes and select the desired candidates

College Events

0.5

The events conducted by delhi university or other colleges of the university are the only ones where you can access to. College didn't conduct any such events or meets.the festivals are lit.stars like diljit dosanjh, Papon, Arijit singh comes during the fests

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible fees. it costs around 4000 p.a which includes the exam fees and the books fees.2000 is the course fees 800 is the module fees and 1200 is the exam fees.for appearing in the exams you have to register yourself online and print your admit card.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is so nominal that no loan requirement is needed for paying the fees.but if you are wanting to take a loan for hostel and college fees than you can visit sol.du.ac.in.based on your performance during the college period you can get various scholarships if you are entitled to.

Campus Life

4

Anti ragging committee is there.environment committee is there.there is no such discrimination against colour, caste or creed in fhe college.Sol excells in cricket and has a good cricket team.near to the college is the rugby ground of delhi university where students practise of various atheletics meet too

Hostel Facilities

4

No i didnt opt for hostel neither the college had one. But if you want a good pg near northh campus then you can easily have it for 10000 for double sharing with air conditioner and other facilities.food is also included.food is a bit problem because everyday you will not feel like eating roti sabzi rice dal.

Alumni/Alumna

There are no such alumni which i know.but i know that one of my idols who belong to ca fraternity is passed out from this college and his name is ashish kalra.he is very humble and i have taken classes from him of financial management in CA.

Admission

I am actually a CA Final student.so along with CA I could not manage regular college.so i opted for SOL, Delhi University. The admission process is very simple. You have to get a 100 rs form from the counter and fill the required details and then stand in the queue of your desired stream. The main issue is the queue for admission. Luckily, I stood in the queue at 10 and completed the process till 2 along with the orientation which was provided to the new students.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty seems to be interesting to me. Visiting faculties also were very exciting always. They were hardcore professionals and had a strong knowledge and background of the subjects. Especially Mr. S.P Sharma sir for Financial reporting. You will love his way of teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was preparing for CA also that's why I opted for Bcom, rest no other factors. But the curriculum of the college was best. They covered our whole syllabus on time. Everything was just perfect. There's semester system at my time. Every year we have 2 semester exams and you can clear the exam if you have studied everything your teacher taught. Examination level was moderate only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum itself is offered under delhi University is the biggest pro of this college I liked the aspect that it tries to capture the essence of holistic development by introducing skill enhancement courses, value addition courses and ability enhancement courses It also facilitates dynamic learning experience by offering the courses from different departments such as general electives I still believe that there is a space for improvement in the applicability of this course in the real world as the world is growing at a fast paced and we need to prepare ourselves with everything we can Intership opportunities, live projects of certain subjects , increased field trips and introduction of ai courses Frequency is good ,1 per semester which helps students to take on different ventures also and the difficulty level is mixed depending upon the subject but ranges from moderately easy to difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

There's no such specific aspect to be very honest, I was clear since my 12th standard only that I'll be doing BCom hons in my undergraduation. The core subjects provides you valuable knowledge for sure but there's nothing to learn from AEC, SEC and VAC subjects (they are useless). I think teachers should start focusing more and like in my 3rd semester, there are 2 teachers for each of my core subject, this should be eliminated because it creates confusion among students. Exams usually ends in 1 month and mostly my exams were in the morning shift which is 9:30-12:30 but it gets difficult during winters to reach to college on time and sometimes you have to wait too for 20-30 minutes outside for the gate to open.

I would give 4 stars for the course as I think various improvements can be made... The course should be made more practical and also more practical knowledge should be given rather theoretical knowledge. Digital learning should be given more focus and yeah frequency and timings are good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think there's too much unnecessary subjects given in the name of VAC and SEC and AEC becuae the options are completely irrelevant to the course. I'm a bcom student why will I study political science or hindi. If it's important to have these many subjects then give us subjects which are relevant to our course. There's mandatory EVS subject too and I think I have learned all that thing already in school so there's no need to study that.
