Course Curriculum Overview

Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics is a prestigious college located in Mumbai which is also the oldest college of commerce in Asia. Affiliated to the Dr. Homi Bhabha State University. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in commerce and managementand special course for internal politics. It was awarded a re-accreditation 'A' grade and 3.42 GPA in the second cycle assessment conducted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.

Placement Experience

Campus placement or campus interview is the program conducted within educational institutes or in a common place to provide jobs to students pursuing or in the stage of completing the programme. In this programme, industries visit the colleges to select students depending on their ability to work, capability, focus and aim.

Broha festival Concord Younthra Brouhaha is the annual cultural college festival of Sydenham College. It is an exciting music festival sponsored by popular brands such as Pepsi and Nissin. This college fest has many exciting events such as sports and dance performance. It is a 4 day long fest from 12th to 15th December 2019.

Hostel Facilities

Government Colleges Hostel (GCH) is a place of residence for students in Mumbai. It accommodates bona-fide male students of six government colleges namely Sydenham College, The Government Law College, The Institute of Science, The Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education, Elphinstone College and State Institute for Administrative Career.

Remarks:

College is fun and the teachers took a lot of care about classes and helped us in whatever way they could. Sports facilities are also very good and they encourage us at the fullest. The office people are sometimes not very helpful and they trouble you for small small things.

Well. The campus is beautiful.

Remarks:

The college is not good, no personality development, no extracurricular resources, etc. However, the academics was excellent. The college gives a vintage look, considering the walls with stone arrangement gives the place a nice antique look. However the overall experience is bad. No fun, no curriculum activities with potential, etc.

Before 2024,there were no cet's or entrance tests for the admission but since 2024 there is an entrance test you have to pass to take admission in this college.
