Remarks

First when I joined the college. I thought I had made a mistake and the college was bad. But after a month I realized how good the college how and how supportive the lectures and seniors are, which really boosts the confidence up and lets you become the person you want to be rather than just dreaming it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

When I joined the college, it was under VTU, VTU exams might not be that difficult, but the marks you see in your report card doesn't agree, the evaluation in the VTU system is very bad. But now my college is autonomous, and therefore the evaluation of the exam papers will be done in the college it seems, thus bringing better grades.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements and job opportunities are limited. Around 50-60% of the class might get recruited. The college helps you find good internships. It collaborates with companies and tries to get good internships, which in turn increases your chances of getting placed in a core company. I have to start my internship after this sem ends.

College Events

5

There are new technical events every month organized by various clubs, I try to attend as many as I can, they are usually free of cost. Management events are done by a club called Aspera, and the turn up for it is very huge. Cultural events are usually done in a grand way. And people from all over Mysore turn up for it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for CET students is 75000 - 80000 (this College fee + CET fee). For Comedk students it is 150000 - 200000 (as Comedk fee is included in this). The college fee includes everything. If joining thorough Comedk, it might be expensive. But there are scholarships which do help a lot.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers government scholarships and also offers a special scholarship for students who are in need of it, Which is decided with some interviews and surveys. This is very thoughtful, it gives scholarships to 1 person in every class who is in need of it.

Campus Life

4.5

The college Sends the sports team to every competition they are eligible to do so. The support is tremendous. The labs are in good condition, well maintained. The workshops are also very well organized. There is no tolerance towards ragging, and it's a very serious crime. The student diversity is vast.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

A lot of friends so stay in Hostel and they like it, cause it's fun to be with your friends all the time. The food is okay, the infrastructure is very secure. In the girl's hostel, they should be inside the hostel inside 7, if they come out. In the boy's hostel, they are supposed to be inside by 8.

Alumni/Alumna

They are very helpful. They recommend which club to join and which not to, they help you in a lot of ways. They always try to do what's best for us, by conducting workshops, events and technical talks.

Admission

I chose Electronics and communication as my branch because my elder cousin brother recommended me as in the future I could either chose to join an IT company or get placed in a Core company, thus I joined this course. Even the person who was in charge of allotting the college seats in the process told me that I have taken up a good college.

Faculty

3

Most of the faculty are very friendly and support you a lot, especially when you are not doing well in your studies, they try their best to help you out, even if you call them one day before the exam they are ready to help. I did take help from my Math Lecturer two days before my first VTU exam. They support us even when you have an idea which might be good. They help you set up new clubs which are needed. They also help participate in national level competitions.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
