Remarks

College mangement is a bit strict but that is required in engineering colleges.

Entrance Preview

AIEEE state rank was 301 just got this collegeon the basis of my rank near to my home there was no interview admission was on the basis of AIEEE rank.

Course Curriculum Overview

Excellent very well designed course was at par with leading engineering colleges in india and outside india technical courses was very well designed.

Internships Opportunities

Every student donot get internship from college mostly arrange on their own but i got it from college in LG electronics, greater noida stipend offered was 5000 per month.

Placement Experience

Almost all the students get at least 1 job offer 60% would have at least 2 offers and 25% would have at least 3 offers very rarely someone misses out.

College Events

At least 3tech fest and 4-5 cultural fests in a year BITOTSAV is the annual and main fest which includes tech as well as cultural fest one musical band also visit during bitotsav.

Fee Structure And Facilities

A bit on higher side but is affordable considering u will end up with good job offer not a very high fee structure you will get schorlarship from govt in case you are from reserved cateogary.

Govt offers scholarship to sc/st students UCO bank there provides student loan quite easilyrates are affordable.

Campus Life

A lot of cultural fests, tech fests and hostel partiesu will enjoy a lotu can learn a lotu can enjoy a lotrobotics lab is also there debate competition also.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are very large and mess is privately maintained by RKHS food is very good if not excellent 24 hour water and electricity availabilty.

Alumni/Alumna

Not a very well connected alumni network as of yetbut its growing day by daymany aluminis are CEO's of many companies in india and outside indiamany have joined IAS/IPS/IRTS etc.

Exam Structure

2 exams in a semester and 4 exams in a year comprising of 2 semesters labs are very well equipped u wont find many lab equipments in other colleges which are present here.

Faculty

Experienced and knowledgeable their way of teaching was very good barring a few young lectureers most of the faculty was very good they use their experience very well.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

At BIT Mesra for our departments many cpre companies like Tatva Chintan, Laxmi Organics and Kanoria Chemicals were among some listed companies that came for placements. I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Actually This college was in my list but as a last option as i was getting RVCE and BMS few reputed colleges of bangalore but my parents insisted for this college as this college carries a good brand name of BIT,Mesra. Yes, Due to my not so good performance in JEE Mains I did not get the college i was hoping for. A student should first appear in JEE Mains and score a good percentile to get in to this college.
