Remarks

There is mo politics in the campus and sometimes it lead to the superiority ofthe management to take any decisio they want without considering the opinion of students

Placement Experience

4.5

There is a strong placement cell in the college. This year itself the college got more than 100 placements which is top in the thrissur city. I got offer letters from WIPRO, Cognizant. There is also thw facilities for internships. As of now, college is not giving internships. But, since the college is in the middle of the city the scope for getting internships are high. Seceral corporates visit college for bright students as interns.

College Events

2

There are many events happening in our college. There will be arts and sports s festivals.there are tech fests like SRISHTI, Exodus by departments of computer science and computer application. there are several other Tech and cultural fest by different departments in the college

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is as per the government norms and regulations. Kerala is a state which considered education as a basic needs and so the fees are are low here compared to other states.I think my fees was about 5000 per year. the fees will be low on the aided courses and high on self finance courses compared to the aided courses. The fees is much lower than the other states and other countries for the same courses

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for any scholarship but there are some scholarships which can be availed by the bright students and the students with weak economic facilities and there is also several private companies and other NGOs who provide scholarships and loan for students. since college is in the city it's not a hard task to find an education loan on the Banks near by which from which you can avail this education loans.

Campus Life

3

the campus life is very enjoyable. you can enjoy every moment in the campus that which you spend in the campus. the friends, teachers all will be in your memory for all time. actually the college was men only in beginning. but since some years it is a mixed college and the ratio is about 50 50. There are students from the other states and countries are studying here. workshops by different departments happens frequently and it is very tolerant to any religion race and sexual orientations. there is no politics in the campus

Hostel Facilities

2

No. but the facilities in the hostel are I think average. but you can find other hostels near by so you can get accommodations there. the rooms are sharing and rent is very much lower than the private hostels. the food is average and there will be no Wi-fi and other facilities like that.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a large network of alumni ranging from the political leaders actors, Businessman, doctors and all place of life. this large network helps us to build career and it may help us to get placements and other things. there is an old student Association which provides facilities for the students to International exposures by conducting seminars and other other programs

Admission

I choose this college because st thomas college is the one of the best college for computer science. Admission procedure is very simple. right after the plus two exam there will be a notification for UG courses on the College website. so we have to apply on the on their website for the admission there will be an application fee and you can opt between the different courses. After that, a meeit list will be published based on which the farther admission procedure continues

Faculty

2.5

There is around 4 permanent staffs and about 5 guest lecturers. There will be a department head, following them there will be professors, assistant and associate professors are there. The lectures have high industrial exposure. Some of them are entrepreneurs too.

Reviewed on Nov 18, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
