Remarks

It is good with respect to the view of seeing it if you want to some good academic and research then this is very much for you and if you want to good extra circulars and good cultural events go for another option and also discpline is very strict and there is uniform culture and school methods are implemented in maintaining discpline of students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course circulum is very good and is update from time to time once about 3 years and also there are good research opportunities as well with good equipment and also the time table is very light when compared to other colleges and you will only about 24 hrs a week including all the labs and theory and most of the time you can explore new things as there are lot of half days and you can enjoy and learn based on your time management.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements are decent in the packages and also a good number of companies come for hiring about 200 with almost 90% percentage of people placed in some company but it is very hard for non CSE students to get placed in their stream related companies but CSE students have good opportunities like Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco oracle and so on and internship opportunities are very less in the third year only about 3-4 companies come for third year students with stipend of about 30000 per month.

College Events

2.5

The college celebrates many technical events and cultural events and celebrates all festivals but they are mostly with in college and they are not that big and not that good either and college do not provide any budget on the same and support as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is same for all btech branches irrespective of the dept and you will pay the same tution fee for the all four years which is about 250000 per year and is expected to increase about 11% per year for the new students with respect to facility they offer it is pretty expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship are given during the councilling based on your rank and irrespective of the dept there are scholarship of 90%,50% and 25% and also some local quota scholarship as well and there are no loan facility explicitly provided by the college as of my knowledge.

Campus Life

3.5

The college offers some space for the extra circulars as well equipped with good sport facilities in cricket, basketball, volleyball, handball and many more and also there are various clubs on campus in both technical and cultural ranging from coding, dance, music, art, debate etc.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The hostel facilities are not that good and cost you about 75000 per year which is not worth many students opt for near PG as they are good and lot of them are available in and around costing you about 6000-9000 per month based on your budget.

Alumni/Alumna

The college is slowly growing and taking some good measure in improving the alumni network as of now it is very limited as it is very young university and develop at a rapid pace and interact of first year students with seniors is very limited as they are not allowed to speak because of the ragging issues and all.

Admission

The admission process can be through the jee main score or through the amrita specific exam called AEEE which is conducted around the month of march-april and it is a computer based test and few rdgions in Tamil Nadu can have paper based test but most of the students under go computer based test and after few months of test you get rank and then you are given your alloted schedule based on your rank and same follows for new based admission.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very good and most of the people are PhD holders and they help you a lot in studies and also encourages Innovation and provide good amount of research opportunities as well there are currently five departments in the college of about 200 teaching faculty from all departments and also many have phd from reputed foreign Universities and IIT as well and the teaching standard of faculty is good in most of the cases and may be dependent on the department as well and with respect to computer science engineering department everything is very good and has good encouraging and friendly faculty.

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
