Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum offered by Amrita Vishwa vidyapeetham gives an overall understanding for a beginner level student about the course completely which helps students to get placed in the campus placements.

Internships Opportunities

5

Amrita school of engineering provides great internship opportunities from top companies like Google, Microsoft etc. They inform students about these and guides the students to apply for them. Students gets selected for the interviews after several rounds.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are pretty bad not only in Amrita but in the whole country due to recession process. But Amrita in general offers good placement opportunities for their students. Students should be prefect in their skills to get a good placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is based on the slab which you get by writing AEEE examination. AEEE is amrita's entrance examination conducted across the nation. If you secure the seat under slab 1, your fees in bangalore campus for CSE core will be 1,30,000/- for the tuition fee and 1,20,000/- for the hostel including mess fee. Note that the hostel fee from second year will be 1,10,000/- because in the first year they take 10,000/- as caution deposit. For the remaining slabs, the tuition fee varies. For the second slab the tuition fee is 2,00,000/-, for the third slab the tuition fee is 2,70,000/-, for the fourth slab the tuition fee is 3,30,000/-. If you get an admission through slab 1, if you do not maintain the CGPA in first year above our equal 7.5 or 8, your slab may get reduced to lower slabs based on your CGPA. The fifth slab is non-scholarship category where you need to pay the maximum amount of tuition fee which is 4,25,000/- for every year until you graduate. You can also avail these slabs based on your JEE MAINS percentile. They'll provide you the slab based on your percentile. My friends secured percentile of 95% in JEE MAINS and availed slab 3. I also have a friend who got 500 rank in AEEE and secured slab 2 in B.TECH CSE bangalore campus

Campus Life

4

College life is good. Me and my friends went to 3 trips until my 3rd year. We are planning to go to more places. Amrita conducts fests across their branches. They conduct fests in kerala campus and bangalore campus.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facilities are a bit bad. The mess food is quite normal. Comparing to the mess fee which we are paying, the food is not upto the expectations. Many students choose PG because of the good problem

Admission

To be honest, I chose Amrita because i didn't get any other colleges. However, Amrita is not at all a bad college to study. They teach you well, guide you well. Everything is in student's hands to design their careers.

Faculty

4

My course, computer science and engineering offers very good faculty. They would have been excelled in their domains and they teach you really well. They guide you through thick and thin and help you to publish papers.

Night Life

5

In hostel, we have gym which is open early in the morning and in the evening. Hostel students can use the gym during that time. For girls, it's safe to roam outside because security is quite good and tight.

the placements oppurtunity are there and you can grab a very good paackage from here. The highest is around 44 , average is 7 lpa. Students become eligible for final placemnts from 6-7 semester. Companies like thermo fisches , fractal , belc , hitachi and many other, have visited. The percentage of placemnt is quite high but people grabbing more than 30lpa is very few. after degree i want to go for job directly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Honestly I don't a thing about the relevance of the curriculum, this curriculum thingy has been changing every now and then in our college I hope atleast they stick to one curriculum and make us study that and don not change it further. As I've mentioned before, I was not informed in prior about the syllabus so obviously there's no specifi aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose this course. I think the curriculum will prepare me to face the world way more wisely and strategically than how I'd deal with it otherwise. I think one area they can improve is in physics, they can give us more seminars, projects and stuff to check our understanding. That would really help a lot of people to be creative and help people to get the exposure. Coming to the difficulty level of the paper, I know nothing because I haven't written the sem exam yet so, I know nothing. But, can guarantee one thing!! Be careful, cause as per sources our college is known for it's tough question paper, so y'all better study.
