Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Curriculum is designed just for the sake of exams and exams are taken just because curriculum is designed. Fundamentals are nicely covered in the curriculum but teachers miserably fail to teach it. Advanced subjects and industry related subjects are not covered. They aren't useful in placements. There are two exams Mid sem and End sem just to test how much you can mug up and how you can make fool of examiner.

Placement Experience

0.5

Here comes the worst part of the college PLACEMENTS- I can literally say there is 0% placement. No company visits college. few students get placed (around 8 -10 from course) from offcampus drives.Packages of such drives are around 3LPA. Institute dont worry about the future of the students it just function its own monotonous tasks. No special steps are taken to improve the placements in college or improve students for placements.

College Events

0.5

Looking at cultural events there are two main events Abhivyakti and Jallosh. Abhivyakti is so-called national level cultural event where nothing happens of national level, participants are from nearby colleges from the Jalgaon itself and Jallosh is annual gathering where DJ is not allowed after 6.30PM so everything happens in the scorching afternoon. So it's a pure mess waste of money. There are two national level Technical events TechnoArena and TechnoVision which are conducted just because govt gives money and it's mandatory to meet the standards of college. Nothing innovative happens there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Structure is different for different Caste.General paying highest fee then Obc sc st consecutively.Fee breakdown is transparent no extra charges you can pay online using net banking. Roughly General 80000 Obc 40000 SC ST 2000 Per year. So there is huge difference depending upon caste.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it's a govt college you will get all the benefits of govt irrespective of your caste and economical condition. To avail this you need to submit document regarding your scholarship.

Campus Life

1

Campus life- Every student who comes with a dream of living a happening college life will for sure get disappointed. The college is situated in outskirt of the city where there is nothing to enjoy and chill. Gender ratio is quite okay i must say 45%girl 55% boys roughly. Sports- There is only one common ground no indoor hall for badminton table Tennis there is zero sports culture in college and nobody cares about that No extracurricular activities are consulted for enrichment of students.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel is the only good thing about college.Rooms are sharing 2 persons in one room. But only top 15(cgpa) students in the class will get room in hostel. That is even caste wise reserved seats others have to live outside. Hostel have filtered water 24×7 electricity high speed internet.

Alumni/Alumna

Not at all interaction with alumni. College is in Jalgaon and even one event where student could interact with alumni that is alumni meeting is organized in Pune. Alumni are not playing role in increasing placements in college.

Admission

Admission generally starts in the month of June. It takes place under CAP (CENTRAL ADMISSIONS PROCESS) by DTE. You will get admission based on your CET score you need to apply through Cap. I chose this college thinking that it's govt autonomous college but it miserably failed to meet my expectation.

Faculty

0.5

Taking about Faculty-In my department(Computer Engineering) there are only 2 permanent teachers all others are temporary who have just passed their Mtech from another tier 3 college of the Jalgaon itself. 2 permanent teachers are of 50+ age all other staff is below 30 years old. None of them got expertise in subjects. They just watch random YouTube video on the topic and repeat it in the class and then unable to solve students doubt. Nothing is practical or industry oriented. It's just theory and mugging up things for exams.

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
