Remarks

Not as such. Although I would suggest starting a pick up and drop facility for students and teachers. Because some times we may need to stay after college for preparation of some events or so and at night safety is at question so a pick up and drop facility will be greatly appreciated

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is of three years. And a total of 6 semesters need to be cleared. Exams are not that hectic I would say. And our study is not really mugging up stuff from textbooks. It is more of understanding rather than memorizing and I find most of the subjects interesting so I don't find our curriculum to be hectic. We have strict attendance tho.

Placement Experience

3.5

Yes,our college does provide internships but after completing our 2nd year. I'm yet to finish my second year so can't comment :( I have seniors tho who have been a part of internships and their response was very positive

College Events

4

There are a lot of events happening in our college all year round There's Ad Adda which is a communication fest organised by our department There's Epignosis which we organise Eclesia And a lot more Fests bring in a sense of healthy competition among students

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is more or less on the feasible side. Per sem the fees is around 56000 and the total course cost is around 4 lakhs. I am not aware of the exact details as my father mostly handles fees payment and all.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I am unaware of such scholarships. They may exist but I haven't availed them. Student loans definitely exist and some of my friends from other departments have opted for it.

Campus Life

4.5

There is no form of racial discrimination or gender discrimination on our college. Every student is treated with the same respect and dignity. Our college has an anti ragging body and anyone found breaking the rules is taken for a hearing with the anti ragging body. Workshops are held regularly on different topics which gives us the chance to showcase our skills. People of various ethnicity study in our college and all are welcome here.

Hostel Facilities

4

No. I am not residing in a hostel. I have my own home in Salt Lake. I don't feel the need to stay in a pg as I live in Kolkata and my college is in Kolkata itself.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes,seniors have been really great to us and we have established a very good bond with them from the first year. They are fun loving and also show us the way. They share their experiences with us which help us to prepare better for certain exams.

Admission

I am an aspiring musician so the topics that were covered in the syllabus such as production will be a boost for my professional career. And as a musician you also need to know how to market your music and this covers every aspect of it. I sat for CET ( common entrance test ) and after that the college held an interview where I got selected.

Faculty

4

Teachers are very nice and are friendly. Never have I felt them to be unapproachable. They're always ready to help but will scold us if we do anything stupid. We have a student coordinator as well who listens to anything and everything we have to say and he makes sure that our concerns are heard by the higher authorities

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.
