Remarks
Good college management, as it was managed by the government as well as the CAPE memebers.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum and exam structure were followed as it is done in all colleges under CUSAT. It followed CUSAT standards in all the exams as well as training placements. The curriculum was indeed well groomed to bring out a good engineer. The projects and seminars conducted included the latest technology as well as latest trends in industry. We had Industrial visits in 3rd Semester to BSNL Kochi.
Placement Experience
Infosys, TCS and CTS. Almost 30% of the students were placed every year. The institution gave classes on how to attend an interview and taught us in preparing for aptitude tests as well.
College Events
Technical and cultural events are conducted every year in the college. There are Industrial visits as well. Festivals like Onam and Christmas are also celebrated very well. Onam pookalam competition is conducted on Onam followed by Onam sadhya. A large Christmas tree is made on Christmas followed by sharing gifts by secret santa game.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As I holded a merit seat, the fee structure was feasible. The mode of payments were through demand draft. The exam fees were accepted through online payments. other fees were accepted through cash payments. No additional fees or donations has to be paid to secure your admission. The college did provide fee transparency in fee breakdown as well as provided proper bills sanctioned by the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college offered many scholarship based on caste. The SC/ST and OEC categories were eligible for the scholarship.
Campus Life
The gender ratio was almost 1:1. There were no extracurricular activities. The labs were of good standards. Annual Sports competitions were held every year for the whole college. And other technical and cultural events were also held which included robotics and other technologies.
Hostel Facilities
No, I didn't opt for hostel. I was a day scholar. The college hostel was situated in Vadakara town. There were PGs near the college and the rent was around 3000Rs per month including food. The college hostel rent was basically lesser than that.
Alumni/Alumna
College seniors were very gentle in behaviour as well as very helpful in sharing their experience and other study materials.
Admission
I got admission in the college through kerala state engineering entrance examination. I was present in the merit list as well. I got this institution through allotment process. After the allotment got confirmed, I went to the college and took admission, after which on September 2012 first week my classes started.
Faculty
All the lectures had a Post Graduation. The engineering mechanics lecturer had a great experience in terms of teaching as well as lab activities. The lecturers gave the best notes and helped in the problem solving skills as well. They had a positive attitude towards yhe students as well
