CMRIT College

The college environment is really good to study and learn new things.

The course curriculum is according to VTU (Vishweshwaraiah Technical University). The exam structure and curriculum are pretty good. The subjects focus on all the aspects that an engineering degree requires. We also have practical learning through labs that add on to the learning process.

The placements are pretty good. Almost all the CS and IS students get placed as there many IT companies that come to recruit like GlobalLogic, Hiver, HP, Cognizant, Mscripts, etc. The college provides good placement training for the students. One of them is the Tie Your Laces program in which they brush us up with basics, aptitude and technical skills. Apart from IT companies quite a few core companies for other branches also come. As I am in IS student I'm not sure about other branches.

There are many events as we have so many clubs that are cultural, technical, and sports. Each of these clubs conducts events every week. One of the biggest events of the college is our fest CULTURA (Intercollege cultural and technical annual fest), Spardha (Inter college sports fest), Hackathon, etc.

The fee structure is reasonable if you get an admit through KCET while the COMEDK fees are quite expensive. Also, there are different quotas that charge differently.

There are a lot of education scholarships provided by the college like the Huawei scholarship, CMR scholarship, etc. There are scholarships for sports and leadership too.

There are many extracurricular activities. We have 8 cultural clubs and they conduct events every week to engage the student interaction. The college takes sports into immense concern and allows students to participate in different sports competitions including the vtu sports meet.

They are very helpful. We can reach out to them at any point in time and they are always there to help us. We have an alumni association that conducts meetings and often our alumni visit the college and also give guest lectures.

I got admission in this college through a management quota. The college admission staff is very generous regarding the queries about the admission procedure. The quality of education and the opportunities provided to the students is extraordinary.

The faculty of this college is very good and helpful. They take extra effort to help each and every student individually. They take lectures and provide practical knowledge too. Other then classes and labs, the curriculum includes MOOC course,mini-projects, flipped classrooms. The faculty help us with the projects by playing the role of a guide.
