Remarks

Overall, the college is good but since it is Jhansi, the prospects are not so good. Teachers here are supportive so you can prepare yourselves for GATE/CAT,etc. If you arent getting into IIT, NIT or good IIIT, and if you have the rank for this, you can come here.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course structure has been revised for newer batches and many obsolete subjects were disbanded. Also, research funding is provided to students and our clubs like The Drone Learners and Mercenary Motorsports are renowned in their circuit throughout India. The schedule is quite hectic because from 9-4:30 is the college hour with an hour and half reserved for lunch.

Placement Experience

3.5

Here, placements opportunities are okaish but students go for pool campus drives in various colleges and almost everyone who wants a placement gets one. Although, not many high packages opportunity presents itself but if you are a good coder, you'll find your way through. For other branches, situation is serious as there are not many companies eager to visit Jhansi

College Events

4

We have Literary, Fine Arts & Hobbies, Cultural and Sports sub council which convene fests throughout the year. Besides, technical fests viz, Pravidhi and Techzion are also held. Although, no celebrities are ever invited but the students can have a lot of fun and gain invaluable experience.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for courses like around 1 lakh rupees per year. IT branch which is my branch has 80000 fees with 28000 rupees for mess, it is because IT is a self financed branch. For government funded branches its around 65000 rupees and 28000 rupees for mess

Fees and Financial Aid

UP government provides scholarship to students with not so good economic conditions. Around 14000 fees is reimbursed by the government and 50000 scholarship is awrded to each eligible student. There isnt any loan facility that I know of.

Campus Life

4

Computer labs here are very good and efficient. there is a wooden court for basketball and badminton. Table tennis is also a major sport in the campus. We are provided with a gymnasium and a chess room. Volleyball, football and cricket though share a common ground. Recently, budget has been passed for a lawn tennis court also. Amphitheater is being constructed which would, I hope, look real good.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

During 1st year 3 students share a room. In 2nd year, 4 students and for 3rd and final year each student is allotted a single room. The rooms are spacey except for second year hostel. There are 5 hostels for B. Tech for boys and 2 for girls.

Alumni/Alumna

Well, there are alumni meets that are hosted. Seniors here are good and no ragging takes place in the campus. Almuni help us when we need any guidance. Social Media is responsible for allowing this and they are very helpful and eager to help.

Admission

I secured 6000 general rank in UPSEE and via counselling I was allotted IT branch here. Since, I wanted for CSE but IT is near enough I enrolled in. BIET is the 2nd best college of AKTU after IET, Lucknow.

Faculty

3.5

College is overall good and teachers here are supportive as well as strict, a balance that needs to be maintained. Mechanical, Civil, Chemical departments have faculty who are alma mater of IIT's and for other branches they are open to hiring i guess.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose B.Tech CSE course as I am interested in Computer and Coding. Don't go behind the trend. Choose the course according to your interest. Every course and specialization is difficult in its own. Personally I suggest if you took addmission and you are in 1st semester, please focus on your studies. Don't kept roaming and bunking classes as 75% attendance is also necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is Totally academic level which is easy to moderate There are only one or two coding subjects which is done in form of workshops The overall syllabus is good but old and is related to aktu syllabus which needs a change and won't help in technical field a lot Curriculum is still moderate and easy to clear but still some students are back and detained due to less attendance Which is the biggest issue in this college that is 85% u can only take 6-7 holidays in a semester which is so less and two three holiday will let u detained in sessionals which will overall decrease the internal marks in your overall cgpa of college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects like ITC, COI influenced me as why they are in the curriculum they don't provide any skills for the engineering students. Students also studies these subjects in one day and give exam and they forget these subjects add no importance in the curriculum. There are subjects like acquiring buisness communication which helps us to improve our conversation skills confidence that is helpful in the future while interviews. The improvement in the subjects which is not useful for engineering and to increase more things which helps us in coding make us skill good. The frequency and timings of exams are quite tough there are consecutive classes along sessional exams student always stressed and the attendance is also higher so the student can't also take leave for his own mentality stability and to relax . The difficulty is quite high .

Our curriculum gets better from this year as so many changes occur due to college become autonomous Like a better coding platform bought by college for student i.e. CODETANTRA and some subjects of 2nd year introduced in the 1st year like COLD and DSTL , Promoting students to participate in Hackathon by mailing to the students about each and every big or small hackathon . Giving them free attendance for that thing . The frequency of exams are about 20 days .
