Remarks

There are both positive and negatives. Positives being that the lecturers and the faculties are very well educated and knowledgeable But the college itself is old and all the classrooms and lab is also old. There is no proper maintenance of the college buildings.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have semister wise exams. We have monthly exams called CIE which stands for continuous internal evaluation. Here for each subject 20 marks is awarded. There are 2 compulsory CIE. Each CIE carries 20 marks per subject. They add best of 2 CIE marks. The total becomes 40 other 10 marks is for assignments. Total marks from CIE is 50. The other 50 marks are from semister end written exams. It will be given for 100 marks and then be converted to 50 marks. Then the CIE marks and semister end exams' marks are added to give a total of 100 marks.

Placement Experience

There is a dedicated section of our college known as training and placement which provides the training to the students in how to attend the interview and face the interviews. About 10 to 15 companies which all conducts written exams and then interviews to select for jobs. There are many clubs that helps students to learn more about programing, IoT and other such stuffs. This College consist a section known as techquip office which provides financial support for students to attend workshops. Overall the placement system's are good.

College Events

Our college has many events throughout whole year. Usually these events are conducted by students with the funding of college. The first event of the semisters is 'Jamboree' conducted by Leo club and there will be one event per club in one year

Fee Structure And Facilities

There are 3 types of seats that we can acquire through CET. CET is the common entrance exam conducted by Karnataka Government. In our college there are 4 quota to claim seats in, 1. SNQ quota - 4,000 rupees + 26,000 rupees College building funds. 2. Government aided - 19,000 rupees + 26,000 rupees College building funds. 3. Non aided - 65,000 rupees + 26,000 rupees College building funds 4. Management or payment (CET is not required) - 1,50,000 rupees

Fees and Financial Aid

Karnataka state government offers scholarship for the students who come under other backward classes (OBC) catagory. This scholarship is known as 'vidyasiri'. This scholarship provides 18,000 rupees to 23,000 rupees to all the OBC students who have applied to the scholarship through the online website.

Campus Life

The first year is divided into 2 semister. These 2 semisters are called as C cycle and P cycle. C cycle contains chemistry and P cycle contain physics. In P cycle there is a class dedicated to physical education in which most of the sports are covered. This is mandatory for P cycle students. Anyhow the students can continue to play the choice of their sport throught there 4 year journey in the College. Labs are pretty old and shabby. But it has all the equipment needed. The computers labs has been renovated and all the PC's consist of minimum of 8gb Ram.

Alumni/Alumna

There is another dedicated building for aluminium. It's called as alumini hall where most of the alumini club members join and contribute to the college. They provide the students with self improvement talk and workshops.

Admission

By the exam conducted by our state. CET. We get ranking based on our marks. There will be a centralised councilling in which we get the government seats. I got government seat in malnad college of engineering for mechanical course.

Faculty

The faculties in our college are knowledgeable. There is one principal and several deans under him. The different sections of the college is associated with different Deans. For example, the section of students affairs has a Dean and the examination sector also has a different Dean. Then different branches are divided into different departments and each department has a Head Of Department and under them a senior professor and under them 2 assistant professor and under them junior teachers

Placement Experience:

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Yes our college provide placements, from final year that is 7th semester they will allow for placements, Many companies visited our college like tcs, Cognizant, indegene, microland etc and average package is 400000 and highest is 1500000 it given by oracle, Nearly 60 percent students got that is either in both technical and non technical jobs, my plans to join a IT company

The placement at SVIT Bengaluru area quite impressive , especially in the technical field like Computer science, Civil, Electrical and Machanical Engineering.The college has a dedicated placement cell that students get the best opportunities for internship and final placement .At SVIT , Students typically become eligible for campus placement from the 7 th semester . However, the placement cell starts preparing students for interview and skill development from the 5 th semester onwards though mock interview , resume - building workshops , and personality development session.SVIT Bengaluru has strong industry connection , especially in the IT and engineering sectors .some of the companies that regularly visit the campus recruitment includes. TCS , Infosys , Wipro, Congnizant, Accenture,IBM, Capgemini ,Tech Mahendra , Amazon.High- package : The highest salary package offered in recent year was around 15 - 18 lakhs per annum for candidates . From the end of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placemets.Many companies visit the campus including Oracle, UI path, etc offering students interships and full time jobs.The highest package offered to the student is 50 lakh per annum from UI Path and the average package of CSE branch is around 10lakh. Nearly 93% of students are placed in various companies.My plans after graduation is to grab a good on campus placement and look forward to my other goals in my life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
